Haven't recieved a single bit of feedback on mine :s I feel so ignored :corncry:

Soundcloud

@whyrez - Very nice track, I'm loving the future garage at the moment. Been making a lot of it but nobodies really heard it cos I've been having some teething problems moving from dubstep/DnB. Anyway back to your track XD Pad work sounds nice, the vocals in my opinion are the weakest point of the track but they are still nice, just don't particularly like the voice that much, that's only a small gripe though. Good groove in the drums, possibly slightly top heavy drums but again this is nitpicking and I don't even know why I'm doing it. Very solid track, listened to it twice ;)

The Future Garage scene is really going to move up and forward this year man, get involved! :corndance: Just keep working at it and listening to plenty (preferably mine - to boost my plays of course loool) and you'll soon get over the teething problems :) It probably is just down to the fact that you're listening to more Dubstep/DnB so its 'sound' is lodged in your mind :)

Hehe, obviously I liked the vocals which is why I remixed the track and they were the signature piece really, so I couldn't have changed that -q-

How do you mean by top heavy dude? Frequency wise? -q- Too much cymbal/ride/hat? You won't like some of the bits I've been working on lately then -w-

Glad you enjoyed enough to give it a couple of listens man ;) Thanks for listening in the first place! :4:

that sounded like a chiptune to me. not really my thing when the kick and snare sounds like that. but Im really digging the melody and some of the sounds. loving the rising arpeggios. big up :)

over to my remix of tainted love!

drop any feedback on the soundcloud, feel free to download aswell.
Soundcloud

Thanks man, haha I suppose it is chiptune, really. I didn't really want to call it that right from the start, but the whole thing was made on a gameboy, so that would explain it -w-

As for your tune, on a technical level it all sounds really good, I'm just not into that kind of dubstep OR Marilyn Manson, so it's kinda hard for me to judge objectively. But it sounds good, and it sounds focused, so props for that.

@paravrais

I'm all for dissonance, but something about the intro seems very, very slightly off. It's creative though, I like the synth work. I like the deep grimey wobbles. The mix sounds pretty decent too. The sub bass is particularly nice in terms of where it's sitting. Nice and laid back all round though. Very immersive.

@Wirez

Love the drums. I'll say it again for emphasis. Love the drums. And the ambient pads. I love the pump on the synth and the bassline is wonderful.

Overall, this was a bit of a joy to listen to.

@Neurosylum

Good choice of pads. I like big ravey sounds. But I think you should add a bit of sidechain to the synths because they are really angry. It's like a pub full of friendly kick and snare, then suddenly 100 angry synths burst in and the drums disappear in a crowd of angry synth. Exaggerated a bit, but I think it could benefit from having that huge wobble ducked a bit. So it has more of a pulse going than a grind. I quite like it though. A bit different. Big sound.

As for my tracks, well they aren't uploaded yet, they're all still old versions. Should be this arvo.

@Paravis - Nice vibe, for some reason reminds me of streets of rage! Which is sweet in my book. Work on the kick and snare sounds. Kicks almost there, I reckon get a nice rounded toppy rim shot for the snare with a sweet amount of reverb to cut through. Drum groove is good. Maybe have a ride or something contstant to ride along the track on 8s?

@ The Duke - Wicked ideas but melodies are a bit messy for me :S, sounds like you've thrown a lot at it, strip it back and re-asses i reckon. Trust its got some sick ideas though. The piano doesn't really fit for me. The vox are wicked though, radio friendly but has a mental edge to it!

@ Superginger - Wicked. Proper driving, love the dark vibe and a wicked tune to remix IMO. I reckon it could still use some tidying up though!Drums cut through really nice. Some of the edits could be a tad sharper maybe? Tis proper goodtings though.

@NNNY - Wicked vibe. Drums cut through nice. Cool melodies. Full soundscape too. Not sure what else to say really, I wouldnt drop it in most clubs but yeah.

@Neurosylum - Love the dark trance vibe. Mid range bass is cool but doesnt sit quite right for me. Like the sound though. Not too keen on the hi-hat sound. Sound effects are wicked. Work on the structure.

@Wirez - Lovin your FG atm. Vox are sweet. Snare could cut through a bit more. Maybe a tad more bottom on the snare? Strings are fukin lush. Perc sits right. Side-chain is sweet. I'd either bring the rest of the track down or your Kick/Snare up?

Spent a fukin age on this...

@rhek Cheers for the comment, yeah I understand, I wouldn't drop it in a club myself, but I'm just making music that I would like to listen to. Anyone else likes it, its a bonus :D

Your track, sounding nice. Liking the vocals during the intro, and love when the drums arrive :D Like how you've added bass into the intro, nice use of it. Drop is sick as hell. Not sure how to comment here, its a solid track overall, gj :)

Hey guys,

@Thunn - Great work on Devastatingly Digital...such a clean master and love the use of all the different synth sounds especially the computer bleeps in between the wobbles!

@The Jaft - Love the vocoder wobble.

@Blanx - The bass is filth. I love it and the laugh fill adds a lot. Nice and clean master too!

Here's mine!

@rhek - excellent vocal twiddling. producing is really top notch, i can deffo hear you spent ages on working on this, that's only right. the track kinda keeps you waiting for the drop for quite a bit. and to be quite honest, when it finally comes it's a bit on the disappointing side. don't know why though. the wobble couldn't be more polished, everything in its right place. anyway, really decent work mate. superb. you gonna go far with this :ukking:

@Elsonido - gonna skip you man cause i've already listened this and gave feedback before. 8)

@paravrais - i'd tell you to work on the drums a bit. especially the snare. actually just the snare. really nice overall vibe on the track, nice deeb subs and lush mixing. loving the burial-esque percs gently tapping on the background. the synths are also a good choice, and the piano works really good also. can't really say anything about the actual composition on the first listen. and oh yeah, one thing. i'd lose the wobble, it sounds a tad out of place. good work :corndance:

@wirez - oh yeah, FG is my game. and this is really doing it for me. really inspiring and innovating beat, not the usual shuffly hassle. enjoying this big time! if you'd like this featured in a mix, gimme 320. damn good work!! so good. :D: :W: and hey, check out my experiments on the garage field, there are lots and can be found on my soundcloud. stop by and pass us a comment will ya :corndance:

Cheers for the feedback guys, I'll take another look at those drums cos there seems to be a general consensus that they aren't up to scratch. They are deliberately quite minimal but I guess if your gonna make drums so sparse the samples have to be perfect which is where I've slipped up :)

I'll be back with some more feedback later once I've got dressed lol.

Thanks man, glad to hear it :hugegrin:

The snare is a clap lol, and the reason it is a clap and is a bit more weightless than a snare is because of the percussion used, I needed to leave space in the spectral mix for the body of those hand drums otherwise those and the snares would have clashed and the percussion wouldn't have been as prominent :)

Hhmm kick/snare level seems fine to me -q- glad you enjoyed the rest though!

@paravrais- I’m liking this dude. Its super chill but it flows so nice! I feel like it could almost be used as a beat. Someone could totally rap over that! Haha its good though man. Seems well mixed. Sub bass isn’t completely whipping everything out. Has a nice flow to it, doesn’t get repetitive. I’d say you did a good job on this track! 
@wirez- This remix is sick man! I like the drums though ought, the make it flow nicely. And then the bass comes in and it’s beautiful <3 Remixes seem hard, I haven’t been able to pull one off yet but nice work on this one, it’s great!
@ElSonido- I’m glad to see you finished this man! I belive I heard this in Decembers tracks in progress. It’s come together really nicely! The beginning is really funcky and surprisingly leads into the bass very nicely. Some may say the midrange bass is too high, but I love midrange bass so its fine with me. Great breakdowns too. Love it man!

Well here’s mine for the month. I doubt any of you have heard of the Slenderman, but he scares the shit out of me, so I made a dubstep about him haha. Well here it is, THE SLENDERMAN!!!!!!

Thanks man! Really glad to hear you liked it so much :) Haha you'll get there with the remixes man, the first ones I made were slightly sketchy... I could find the keys ok and improvise my own melodies in them, but at the time I didn't realise about the balance between keeping some feeling from the original in there I just flat out made my own tracks using their elements. I think that's the art of the remix, making sure you're appealing to the original artist's audience as well as your own!

Will leave you some feedback on your track man :hugegrin:

@Ipmovement:
digged this track mate. love the drums. and the synth work in the intro & break worked good too. only thing I feel is the saw-ish synth at the drop couldve sound bigger maybe. Thats all I got really haha. Keep it up

@Mawsta:
First I wanted to say, i loved the part at around 1:20. Those wubs sounded hot and good with beat. Didn't really like the samples that came in at 2:05 or so.
vibe to the track is good tho, Nasty an dark. I dont know who the slaterman is tho, but I bet he's a creepy and mean guy D: nice one. :'D

@Bassinine:
I like the way it all builds up. its a nice tune with a chillin' vibe to it. I really think the Kick and snare would do with some beefin' up. (can do with layering, or EQing. or both) and I also would put that snare higher in the mix, its hard to notice. Also thought the bass sound at 3:14 (which gets back later in the tune as well) a bit harsh. or they were too loud in the mix.
That synth thats in there how ever is really nice. digging that one alot.
overall nice tune man, but I think you need to take a lil better look at your mixdown.

here are 2 tracks of mine recently finished! :wink:

appreciate the feedback man. and yeah, i just felt like all my tracks had the kick and snare too loud... and that unless listening at high volumes, you just could not hear the other instruments as well. although i think you're right, and went a little too low overall.

will check yours out when i'm not at work with shitty speakers.
