im a hairy Iranian, and im proud of it, most whiteys laugh to hide their inferiority complex about not being able to grow beards and/or chest hair and the subsequent implications this has on their masculinity. i know this cos one told me once.

resurrecting this thread just to big up the best tattooer by hand i've seen, thomas hooper. seeeeriously mindblowing work this guy does, and he's in the states to boot! i don't have the cash to shell out for a trip to new york and what i'm sure is a very high asking price for his work, but when i do.......

got a few that will build up to be a whole leg piece, then moving to my arms.
got a koi, a hannya and an iching symbol, all black and grey, and am adding some cherry blossom and falling petals to it on saturday.
i use North Star in harrogate, Don there specifically. top work in a top studio imho.
wouldn't go for a hand tattooist tbh, the size of what i want doing it would take far too long!

neither do i to be fair. don was a personal recommendation from a mate of mine who's work i liked.
north star are, i think, the best one in the town, they've got three artists and a piercer, nice place to go, good tunes (if you like punk/rock) and good people.

ye, I suppose it's a trade off... it takes much longer but is far less painful and has a shorter healing time. no scabbing or bleeding or any of that bullshit.
