Was wondering if this would ever actually happen.
4x4 pop-step, produced by Rusko?
Edit: Nope, 'Dr. Luke & Max Martin'

Dubstep has been mainstream for ages now... the UK has just been in denial
Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
That track has waaaaay too many elements. Not to mention it sounds like shit
Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
Not really, I Need Air and Katy On a Mission both got absolutely rinsed on every commercial radio station during the summer over here.pkay wrote:... the UK has just been in denial

2.12 to bout 2.30 actually sounds really good. britneys voice really grates tho.

I have to agree with you on this one. Dr Luke has proven himself as a producer before, great guy.64hz wrote:2.12 to bout 2.30 actually sounds really good. britneys voice really grates tho.

Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
The problem with Britney is her core audience have grown up now and probably feel too mature to still be buying in, whereas young kids think of her as an icon of the past, my 15 yr old sister thinks she's really old and doesn't care for her, even Lady gaga is yesterday's news apparently. No way she can compete in today's market agains't the likes of the youthful biebers and miley cyrus' of this world.
Capturing popular trends in music won't help her to stay relevant unfortunately, she's past her prime

Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
i duno, i think you'd be surprised. i know plenty of people my age who still listen to pop music and are excited for her album, out of novelty perhaps. i think you're right about the younger kids though.
in general i think dance music is making a huge leap towards mainstream consciousness, so i wouldn't be surprised if this is way more successful than it deserves to be.

Trying to be the new Madonna? Changes her image (well, not shave her hair off anyway) and her sound (I say sound...I mean who produces her albums) every few years to try and stay 'hip'.
I wish they'd go away.

I don't turn on Korn to get it on, I be playin Digi Mystikz 'til the dawn
