Brostep is a relatively new sub-genre of music (born out of Dubstep micro-genre) which has no emphasis on soul.
The goal appears to be to produce music as fast as you possibly can, without placing any emphasis on quality.
Unlike Dubstep where sub bass is key, Brostep places more emphasis on ratty high frequency samples and oscillators that arent even low frequency. Toss in a few hip hop vocal samples and you are well on your way to being the worlds next big Brostep producer.

I sort of disagree, I mean I don't agree with the term 'brostep'
But to be honest, I really don't like any of that side of dubstep, it'd be alot easier if it had a different name, just so I knew what to avoid.
But then again, give everything a chance..

but still. just because of some little fishes in the sea, which need to grow a bit in theyr minds ..... did you ever heard a big producer (big not guiz like mt. eden) saying things about "brostep" or splitting the scene?
was someone who likes to spltt it ever on a rave? i don't mean the kind of rave where 14 year old schoolboys are taking theyr ghetoblaster to theyr hangoutplace, i talk about raves with big systems, where it gets boring if man hears all the same sound at one night!
i was on deep raves, and i was on hyped raves, but i tell you what, the undefined raves where all styles was mixed together where the best!

Ahh yeah I agree actually, but its a weird term I guess.
I wouldn't mind hearing Coki, Kromestar etc.
But I really don't like excision datsick etc. Just don't enjoy it.

heavy dubstep is that strain of 140-ish bpm music that tears the roof off, while keeping some sort of dread in the sound. exceptional, intense tunes. don't think i'll ever get tired of tunes like Traffic, 3k Lane, or chessboxin.

this. you can go heavy and be "filthy" (i fucking hate that word) without being completely tasteless and unoriginal.

dirty/filth used to be classed as samples or synths with grit or character to them not these precisely engineered bass lines
but yea that word has been tainted :/

Gonna be honest, I've heard very few decent american brostep producers, most of the filth comes from the UK or migrates here but we had no hand in creating it and very few people that aren't hipster kids pick it up and actually go anywhere of note with it. The blame rests solely on the uk.

I usually make 2 different patches for the Sine-subbass and the Saw/wahtevWavetable-Midrange bass and put em over eachother :'D
Everyone does that cheeky... Well, many do anyway. Which brings up a curious point. Quote, Midrange Cack, unquote STILL CONTAINS SUB-BASS, it's just not front and center. There's alot of other shit going on that's being highlighted, de-emphasizing the sub-bass. But its there. And oftentimes, its fucking enormous. ALL of the tune is enormous, which really pisses off the Deep-heads. It's not that deep dubstep bugs me, its all the whiny fucking deep-heads that ruin it for everyone. Pretense and snobbery is never in style. Fuck off and die with that look down your nose bullshit. Go back to Whole Foods.

If you can't hear the sub-bass on this shit, then your bass-o-meter is broken (or youtube's compression fucked it up)
And yes, there are a ton of garbage jump-up tracks. Just like any genre of electronic music, you have to sift through piles of trash to find the gems. But to deny the gems for all the trash is just ridiculous. What never gets talked about is all the shitty Deep tracks out there. Cuz there are a ton.
