Gonna give this one a go again.

Just to clarify - not all VSTis break the rules, right? I can't see why you wouldn't be allowed to load up the sub (for example) into a sampler, fuck with it, bounce, load it up again, etc, even if your sampler is a VSTi and not a built-in instrument.

Yeah, I always figured the rules were 'no synthesis, ONLY sample manipulation' but it's always written as no VSTs which makes matters confusing.

Well,the rules should be common sense. He means no VST's or any other plug-in format like AU, RTAS, VSTi's that are synths or any instrument that can generate sound. You can use plug-ins that are eq's, filters, delays, reverb, and all other dynamics. He said you can manipulate the samples so that means resample, cut and paste as much as you want. layer up drums just only use the samples to create the track.

there are so many good samples in this im probably going to make 2-3 tracks between different genres with different sounds :corndance:
