Good, balanced (filth vs. original/chill) producers?

Post by chr0ma » Fri Jan 14, 2011 12:36 am

Greetings :t:
I was wondering if any of you knew of any producers that make a wide variety of dubstep music, like some filth stuff, like Excision, 16bit, Bare Noize and also some intelligent, darker, chill stuff, like Skream and Peverelist.
One example is Reso, who produces not just the filthy style, but wonky, some darker "chillstep", and dnb.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i call it "clear" music (you call it "decent") because it clear of club-clash sounds, black-ebony sounds, pathetic pop happy energy grooves, speech sounds, stupid 2step rhytms, and "look at me, i am huge and strong" pointless aggression. and i call this "clear" because of clear synths, clear concrete rhymes, sci-fi or smart athmosferic pads and leads and there nothing in that music expect of samples that means somthing (meanful music without unnecessary elements). and i know only few albums of certain musicians:
-kryptic minds - on of us (my fav, want more stuff like that. the proper sound ))) )
-both albums by autopilot
-clubroot albums
-harmonic 313
-mostly all boxcutter albums
-maybe a last album by breakage
and of course burial and kode9 and others and also i can note autoimmune by meat beat manifesto.
And this is it, because shackelton doesn't make a dubstep )))

Shackleton doesn't make dubstep? Clear dubstep?! You realize that the "stupid 2step rhythm" is the original sound? You realize that mala's conference heard at fwd>> was shackletons inspiration for his music? Seems to me what you like is minimal music, and that's cool, but most of your post is a lot of hot air imo

Also, wtf is black-ebony sounds?
