But more recently, the dubstep scene has been completely split up, with most people either going into the darker and heavier stuff with producers such as Dub Police and Caspa who are calling it "brostep". Then you’ve got the leftfield sound which is being called "joystep" and is represented by the likes of Joy Orbison, Martyn and Flying Lotus. A 'step' at a time, ay? (Pun intended).

I could agree with the perspective " it's MTV , their opiniOn means nothing"...
But my issue is this, they're not even respecting the culture enough to hire a writer who knows the first thing about the music. I suppose u cannot expect them to, the community is just a commodity or a target group to them.

It bothers me that unsusPecting children will see this on MTV , go to beatport then assume that deadmau5 is the king if this character is prince. It's a far far cry from the dubs that induced chills when I first heard them, things that hit you deep.. Ancient memories and the like.
