yeh most novation stuff ussually is damn expensive but the xiosynth imo is pretty modestly priced considering the package.
audio interface with XLR port supported by phantom power for any condensor's you might be using.
midi controller keyboard with an eight voice polyphonic synth and effects
14 pots, an X/Y touchpad and modulation/pitch joystick thingy.
and all of this at under 190 squids, the only downside is the effects can't be externally routed into a daw but that shouldn't be a problem seeing as there are tons that emulate near enough the same thing.
