@sprayyypaint : This is myyyy shit right here.. i love it man.. a smack to the face. love the grove that it settles into at 1:50.. My constructive critism is maybe tightening things up .. i only can hear this on my head phones so its easier to be nitpicky about FQs but i really like the songs direction.
tighten things up in what sense??

in regards to your track, i feel like the bassline you are using seems a bit cliche, i feel like i have heard it in a gazillion other tracks. the song flows great tho, nice n groovy. 3rd listen thru...i like that synth in the begnning, its dope! you should use that riff as your bassline maybe?? not tryin to be an ass im just bein real with you! haha

ehh might as well do more feedback.

a5hl3y2k6- eyy dope intro dude foreal! i like the subtle-ness of this whole track. haha. give the snare some lower punch it sounds a bit too high. and listening to this i would mess with panning all those subtle things slightly. maybe you can experiment yerself :D overall pretty cool stuff man, not really my style. but yeah! hahaha

willryan042- haha heres some feedback for you dude ^___^ haha. the sound is overall pretty cool. the samples are used nicely. love all the sweet little clicks n shit. the wobbles feel liek theyre way too far in front of everything tho. give em a little reverb?? pretty groovy tho! haha

Kes-Es-crazy ass sounds man as always hahha. i think sounds wayyy sicker sped up like this. i could see people going fucking crazy to this. i dunno about the sudden stop tho. just dont feel right with me. also the bass sounds are considerably louder than the intro. there is like too much of difference between the 2 you know what i mean?? maybe thats why that sudden stop didnt feel right. idk. whether or not its a joke it sounds like you can evolve that shit into crazyness!

Sinisterbeats-sweet little tune, im curious what more you will do with it. i have got nothing bad to say about it. keep doing ur thing!

annnddd uhh heres my WIP again ^__^

Nice, the intro/outro sound in-key now. I also don't get the feeling that the mix lacks upper end anymore. The percussive elements fill out the track better than before, and it doesn't sound too crowded or too empty.

I found the flow of the track quite pleasant and relaxing, in fact I forgot to pay close attention to the whole thing while listening several times and had to rewind it! Solid chillout feel. I personally tend to have a hard time making anything that doesn't have at least a few jump-up elements to it, but you have succeeded in doing so here.

Maybe the only thing I didn't think too much of is the FX sound at the beginning - maybe drop it in a little later than immediately so that the atmospherics can build a little first to set the initial vibe? It's a little jarring as is. Is that a flush recording? :6:

@steeple- i really like the bass sound that comes in.
@NICORISONE - i think the claps are a little too loud but i love the atmosphere you create.
@yoitsfrankd- that bass sound is awesome. what synth/plug ins did you use. I've been trying to create something like that with massive but can't get the timing/sound right. i keep listening to it, sounds sick.

here's a first draft of a remix i did of an engine earz experiment song i heard on the radio. i made it for fun so i hope i'm not messing with any copyrights or anything. its my first dubstep song so let me know what you think.

Sinisterbeats, thank you. the bass in the beginning is actually the VST BooBass that comes with FL.

Cleaned up your sentence for you, hurt my brain reading it lol

as for your work in progress it seems a bit cramped, too much stuff going on all at once, especially the beginning.

the first one is oke. is that some tranformers sounds in there? lol i think they should be turned up just a tick. sounds like its to far behind the music

second one i would be excited to hear the finished version, sample gets kind of repitive, but i think it could still work

@a5hl3y2k6 - some lovely sounding layers in there. I think it could do with a bit more of a bassline carrying a melody though.

@Rudebrat - loving those synths at the beginning and the main drop where it all kicks off is great. Dunno if its my monitors but it felt like it could do with something extra to fill it out and raise the volume after that point.

@ironik - 1st song - loving the mechanical sound and feel to the overall song.I think towards the end it begins to feel a bit monotonous, not to bring you down too much i just feel themain melody needs breaking up a little bit. Great stuff though.

Heres my work in progress, developed from an origninal sound i got from my new keyboard iv been messing around with. The drumbeat wasalso a preset from the board but with some EQ'ing and a layered snare. I got fed up after an hour or so, this is what iv got so far!

cheers

@ironik i rly like your sound made ! keep those tunes flowing !! niceee
@Kes-es nice sound mate you got there , love the robotic sound ....my advice to you is to work on the high hats a bit (use other samples if you have , and also use more high hats they will give you that fatness and it will fill out the spaces nice) cheers

Also i made this .... its not close to finish ... its just a wobble on a beat ... didn`t work as much on the wobble but i have big plans for this tune ... want to make nice and heavy .

I just started on pg 1, I'll post more feedback as I have time.

DannyDubstep: I love the xzbit sample. You should vary the wobble patch some. It's a bit repetitive. Good stuff tho
snick01: The intro is great. Very moving. The drums are too hard for the music if you ask me.
mr hello: Beautiful piece of art you produced there. I wouldn't change anything.
ibscotty: Some parts of the bassline aren't really working well with the music. Also that fat low snare isn't really going well imo.
sqwuabblesmynig: I love the samples haha. The kick has too much low end for my taste. Pretty nice wub you got goin on too! Nice one.
WingWeaver: I really love the drums on this, especially the hi hats! Not bad at all!
Voodeedoo: Really dope. I like the bass line a lot! The tempo keeps it all movin too!

Here is a new one I've been workin on. Played it out at a show last night and it got great response. May be a little harder than some people here like, but that's my style.

Alright so version 6 of this pain in my ass track is up. Track has now gone from 140 bpm to 128.

Soundcloud

Here are the early cuts..

v2:
Soundcloud

v4:
Soundcloud

Edits I have made:
-Adjusted Levels for the Clap/Hats
-Played around with reverb levels of the Clap/Hats
-Adjusted levels all around

Really could use some help on what I can do to finish this track (not in the mastering sense I'll worry about that when I actually have a completed the entire tune)

The feedback I have received so far has semi helpful and I appreciate the compliments on this work in progress, so thank you guys for the support!

@NICORISONE
The track is really pretty. Super chilled track. I need to listen with a decent sound system. I think you should make that clap really beefy and loud! not sure if thats what youre tryin to do with the track though.

@CBK81
Thats an absolutely bruuuutal track bruv. I know alot of people dig that sound. I wish I knew how to make synths like that.

@Psythe
I like where youre going with the track. Im sure with more work and a better mixdown you can have the track sounding pretty crisp

@pyroclasm
heavy, good kind of heavy!!! cant wait to hear the finished product. wish i could get that sound out of my synths man.

Soundcloud

working on this tune, turned into this VVV

Soundcloud

I added compression to the FX,
I added more mid range to the bassline
the drums are still snappy without compression... might be too loud
I think it needs a mega bassline but not sure what to put

Just looking for criticism cause I just started producing. Add me and let me know what you guys think of my tracks.
Im also an audio engineer so Hit me up on aim too if you guys wanna trade advice and shit
