drum and bass with live drums

i just randomly got the idea of drum and bass with an actual live drummer with a drumset. Haha has this been done before or would it just be pointless/not work? If it could be made to work i think it could sound awesome.

He's your man!! he put out a sample/loop pack with hospital and did a live pack for Ableton, great to play around with! He is their drummer, what a waste of a talent ://

it's sort of drum-karaoke dnb — macc puts the whole of his tunes (apart from the drums) onto a backing track and then plays the drums out live along to it



it gives a real immediacy to the music, instead of just playing records
