Wow, cheers for the Brackles remix people. Now there's an unreleased track worth grabbing haha. Better get on this now.
My own personal opinion :
Soundcloud has no place on that list. I'm not saying admins or people involved in the DSF awards are at fault, if anything they executed perfectly : if it gets nominated by the people, it should be in. The people should have realised however, that soundcloud has got absolutely nothing to do with dubstep and related music. It's a tool to spread music. On those terms one could nominate iTunes as well. Fair enough though since a lot of people seem to have nominated it. But if this wins, it will deprive some very good people who invested a lot of time and energy in their specific dubstep website/blog etc. of an award, a nice bit of recognition for their personal efforts. That would be a shame.

Thanks to all who nominated me best DJ and Mix, genuinely surprised to be in there this year, even more so when the majority of categories are dominated by non 140 bpm styles!

release of the year (imho) was from v.i.v.e.k, the included mix was something special too. i'm sure they'll be enough praise in the future for him!
nice to see a lot of the hyrbid/wotucallit/? style stuff breaking through into the awards, reflecting on the year nicely. no nominations for SBTRKT seems a bit unfair though? The guy really broke through this year as a dj and producer. maybe we are all waiting for atomic peace...
