GAWDA FIRST TRACK - BUTTPLUGS

Post by gawda » Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:21 pm

This is my first dubstep track. I'm new to making electronic music, so help and tips are greatly appreciated. Anyways I sampled a prank call into it called buttplugs that is pretty funny so I hope you get a kick out of it. Thanks again for tips.

considering your new to writing dubstep this is sick man. only crit i have is that the drums could do with a bit of reverb to add some space to it. and maybe some high end after the drop. maybe make the filter cutoff range bigger (if that makes sense).
nice one anyway dude.
New track up, feedback appreciated ;)

compress those drums, they'll come out more. tube amp too if you want. eq, at least for now, the kick and snare out of your bass with a tight notch. just for basics.. of course it gets sickly deep but for a beginner, try that.. see if you like it.

overall the tune is funny and pretty cool. keep at it, make more and you will learn more, especially as you play them for people. big up!
