Listening in headphones, so may not be of too much help today, but will do my best.

@dj seizure - Would have to agree with what others have said about turning the flute down a bit, think its quite overpowering. Really feeling all of the percussion and the bass tho man, defo liking it, just needs a few tweeks.

@MUT3 - Cheers for the feedback dude. Not usually into stuff like this but had a proper nice vibe to it, really loving the squeaky type noise loop and the other sound thats kind of like static or what I'd descride electricity sounding like, ha. especially when they where both going at the same time and working together, not really my type of track tho, so not really the best to critique it, but defo liking it man.

@dubsax outlaw - This track is SICK! Mixdown sounds tight, seriously feeling this tune man, nothing bad to say at all. You got some quality sounds going on, Big Tune! Thanks for the feedback too man. Defo into hearing more stuff.

@Snellvillain7 - This tunes cool man, think the mid range bass could do with some work that comes in at like 1.37, sounds quite standard to me and felt it kind of let the tune down, maybe just experiment a bit more and get it sounding a bit more unique, think it would defo make the difference and could be a Tune! Like everything else tho, keep it up.

@AndreiStephen - Really liked this man, intro was epic, liking the drop too, got soem real nice movement in the bass, all sounds crisp. Really didn't like the mid range bass that comes in at around 1.36, proper let the tune down for me, think that noise just needs a lot of work as compared to the rest of the sounds it just doesn't seem to come up to scratch, other than that I liked it

@wizkeyzero - Cheers for the feedback dude, glad you feeling it. Feeling your tune too man, nice use of samples, some cool noises going on in there, snare sounds crisp, mix down all sounds pretty sweet too.

@antihero - Loving the reggae vibe, sounds tight!

@sprayyypaint - Tune is cool man, but think its needs a bit of work, couldn't really hear the kick drum to be honest, like your snare tho, sounds tidy. Really like the little break before the drop, not the biggest fan of the mid range bass you've used tho, but thats down to taste, mix downs cool, tho as I said think the kick needs turning up.

@willryan042 - Thanks for the feedback man, couple of people have mentioned maybe automating the intro to be quieter to emphasise the drop, so think I'll give it ago. Your tunes pretty cool, nice samples dude, been eyeing up some samples from home alone myself too, pretty glad its not the same ones I have my eye on or would have been wounded, haha. Really like it when it changes at around 2.58. There's quite alot going on with the synths tho, they work well together tho, just be careful of the amount of reverb you use on each synth as can loose clarity when there's lots coming in and out, good tune tho man

@DGZProductionz - Like the intro for this, nice sample too. Not too keen on the drop to be honest, some nice sounds going on, just seemed a bit simple, think this could just be down to taste tho man, everything sounds quite clear in the mix tho, nice track.

Thanks again to the peeps who gave me feedback, posted my track on page 11 if you wanna check it out and hit me back with some feedback? Some real nice tracks on here today

@Iko Rush Really nice happy style man. It's nice to hear optimistic moods in dubstep :)

@Conformer I think you need a bit more going on in the middle parts, awesome work on the groove though!

@THuuN Love the power! Full on and dirty sounds mate. You've managed to get an incredibly loud mix here too. Fantastic.

I am relatively new to music production and completely new to this fantastic forum. If anyone has some comments for the 2 tracks below I'd really appreciate it.

Negative Cycles - Finally finished today. This is my first Ableton track.

@DGZProductionz - the intro is that real classic old school dubstep. nice. lovely subs rollin there. great drums. with a little more of that "something special" this could easily be an old dub police release. take that any way you want :D

@willryan042 - a rather confusing track. i don't really like either the drums or the wobble. not really much else to say here, try to get better quality drum samples somewhere and work on the wobbles. you'll get there eventually.

@sprayyypaint - sorry mate, this one leaves me a bit puzzled. don't really know where you're going with this. that "yip" that goes on all the time is really a pain in the ass. mixing is good and the drumwork is decent but not really my thing.

@wizkeyzero - good work, the youtube quality doesn't really compliment your track but from what i can hear it's alright. as someone already stated, reminds me of a video game. the shouting samples sound a bit funny, are they yours?

here's my new tune. really don't know what it's all about, sort of an experimental ting. feedback would be great!

@hyperianuk: same rules apply here as in the WIP thread

FEEDBACK

@ideate: i would rearrange a few things, the track feels like it starts too suddenly, i'd recommend a short build into your intro. im digging those keys at 1.10, infact i like all the sounds you're using :) needs more bass though imo. bring out that low end just a little bit.

@SPEAKERLOUTS: completely out of left field. kinda funky though, good change of pace

@Cibiia: catchy ass fucking tune man! great full sound, solid solid work!

had this up in the wip thread, but it feels finished to me. maybe a thing here and there that needs to change. i dont have monitors or very accurate headphones, so im hoping i got most of the levels right, and nothing is too overpowering

Thanx alot for all the amazing feedback! Will take everything into consideration and get to work :Q:
And no im not sending any tracks out to labels just yet, i want to "master" mastering before doing so! Feel that i have quite some work left to do there!

On that note, any tips on where i can learn some more about mastering?

Thanx again!

thanks to skaven and topmo3 for the feedback!

@skaven
What didn't you like at the drop? i was very excited when i made it ^^.

@topmo3
Respect earned :D I know what you mean by simple. In my opinion the tune needs vocals.
It would be nice to have some female vocals on this, and then beef it up with grossbeat.

why are you puzzled by it?? elaborate on that. and what do you mean where am i going with it?? you mean like a dance tune or a chill tune?? or what?? im just going for bass music if that makes any sense. haha.
thanks for all the other feedback tho.

feedback on ur track- sweet gltichy stuff man. i liek the slight offbeatness. are those strings a sample or a synth? i think the crackling might be sitting too far up front? it damn near feels like its too short ahahaha. good job tho i dig the track.

@zonetrooper5: left comments on your soundcloud. You have nice soundscapes going on! Your tune Hope, the snare is huge and is definately the loudest thing in your mix. IDK if its cause of my speakers but they stick out loudly.

@reckstep: Oi blad wheres the wobbles mate!!!?! jk. I love your tune. The drum programming is sick.

@Jaft: you got a good thing going on but you need to bring down the synths and let your drums come through in the verse. build everything around them. getting the mixdown right is hard to do. The hi hats are pretty loud too.

@Ideate: Super sick. Cant critique this one very much. I love it

@Speakerlouts: would go down well in the club, i like the synth work

@Cibiia I dug the track but i agree with the others on mastering-heres a link to some awsome
advice on such matters http://www.dnbscene.com/article/88-thin ... tutorial/1

@DGZProductionz I dig the High Up synth going on in the track, sounds sweet as well as
the clip and the wubs. Overall nothing to really be fixed, I liked it.

@zonetrooper5 The ambiance in both your tracks sound really awsome, reminds me of
Boards of Canada, again I'm finding not really much anything to fix in this either.
Sounds great :D
Honestly I'm not really to good at helping people out on some of the more traditional dub as I don't really produce it that much. Cause I honestly though they sounded good. :)

Here's my track it a remix of a friend of mine, everything in the track is mine except the ambient synths and tones used in it.
