Djs playing out garage/future garage

Post by Assassin » Tue Jan 18, 2011 6:56 pm

I'm wanting to get some of my tunes played out. But I'm clueless where to start if I'm looking for a garage DJ.

Also is anyone DJing Future Garage in Sheffield. I've got an idea for a night.

Every night I seem to be going to, garage is being played more and more... In all honesty, I'm not sure if I like it... (I used to love garage back in the day, but on a night like that, i'm just not feeling it).
Abstrakt.

Come check out my fothermucking soundcoud:

Something TOTALLY different. Really enjoyed this badboy and the melodies.

You are welcome to send stuff to me. Personally I like to think of it as dubstep in it's primitive form. At least the stuff that I play. I am up for signing that sort of thing if I dig it too so send it on over.

Don't know about sheffield but your tunes will get a lot of play in London (if they're good ;)

I'm originally a garage guy, much more of an oldskool and deep house guy but i know a fair few people making and playing out all kinds garage in london from the time ive been making it, including a lot of guys who have been pushing future garage! Add me on facebook and i'll send you some friend suggestions for those guys that would be interested in your tracks.

More play it now then they used to. Back in the 90's there were like 2 or 3 guys that played UKG in Pittsburgh. That's not too bad. House being what it is here, UKG doesn't really have the market it does over there. The popularity of dubstep is opening doors for the rest of the genres of the family I think.

I never really see anything of the like around here, but I reckon when it comes to house music chicago is picky.
I can see it goin off in the right setting though
