Out to the original poster if your Mrs is anything like mine you can add at least 25-50% to the price of any purchase she tells you she made when it comes to clothing and footwear (its always on sale I notice) so dont see why you cant do the same if it comes up.
I'm glad to have disappointed you.
In fact, I'll go as far as to say that I would do it again if I could; something I omitted from that statement was that it was likely a TP version of it or some other 'rarity' tag associated with making people part with such vast amounts of money for what are essentially just vinyl records--albeit containing (good to great) music. In either case, enjoy trying to actively seek a profit from other people--those obviously more talented than yourself. I don't think their is anything wrong with such activity in an objective sense, but when such activity becomes the focal point for ones record collections, as you
frantically searched your own to undertake this task, its obvious the divide in which one falls under.
Also as a side note: I'm becoming ever more reluctant on getting married one day. In the 5 years or so I have actually forced myself to listen to others they all seem to share a common theme of disappointment, double-standard manipulation and coercion. (Also I'm told bj's go the way of the dodo's. Not cool.)
I've said my piece.

Apologies if I caused offence mate, simply put after 12-13 years of record buying I have a lot of records in storage, I have reached a point in my life where I can only keep so much and want to keep the records that I cherish the most. To be honest I don't mind selling off some of the previous stock, the fact of the matter is that if I spent £5-6 on a record 5 years ago which I thought was quite good and now someone will pay £100 for it why not sell it for that amount, how that has any bearing on the artist and their comparitive talent to myself I don't know but as a far as I'm concerned that will pay my electric bill, I dont play it much anymore (its not one of my favourites as stated) so I don't see it as explotative or an active profit seeking business opportunity. The truth is that 80% of the records in most peoples collections will probably only have a resale value of between £1-5 but occasionally you will have something within your collection worth more, I am happy in the knowledge that not only did I buy records by artists that I respected back when they where released and supported their artform and the creation of further music but I also have something that is essentially an investment. I own these records on vinyl because I wanted them, I bought them and I supported the music for the last 6 years, if you want to launch a petty grievance against someone for exploiting artists and music lovers in general I suggest you begin a thread about people ripping music from websites where the artists see none of the profit.

If i ever were to spend £60 on a record it wold be that 12". Ruffage mixes sublimely, every time, with the new 808 stuff coming out at the moment...for that matter it mixes incredibly well with most records. Classic and still a cracker. That 12" is in the priced pile, wouldn't sell it for a 100.
BOOMsHaNKA!an interception!
.....But that’s always the chance you take.
NEW LITTLE MIX COOKED UP. lovely.
