Is it hard to get into DMZ / FWD ?

Post by ketamine » Thu Jan 20, 2011 5:52 am

I’m stateside: Want to fly over during the summer with my gf and go to one. So… Is it easy, like here (Baltimore) you just show up and that’s that? Or is it like I imagine clubs to be in NY or Miami, where the line’s around the block, your rated on how you dress, and you stand outside for 5 hours HOPING to be let in--because if that’s the case I’m not spending 3,500 on hotels, flights, etc to be standing around stranded in an unfamiliar city with nowhere else to go…

Nice man! I'm also taking a trip to London for 3-4 weeks this year to make somewhat of a "dubstep pilgrimage".

I'm also curious as to how exactly it works, I would love to know

imho london is a bit overrated concerning dubstep.
but i'll go too for dmz.

if i were you i'd go early enough to FWD>>. last time i've been i was pissed off after an hour of standing in the queue

as long as you go down early then you are basically guaranteed entry
if the queues long then the queues long, its gonna take a while
last time i went to dmz though i got there at opening time and basically strolled in, was a 2 minute wait tops

People won't turn you away for how you look, unless you're an ultrafag.

You'll be fine with getting in everywhere, just make sure if you're really paranoid, queue early.

Early may be before opening time.

There are never really queues at DMZ unless its a birthday in which case you can be waiting a while unless you get there early. I have only been to a few FWD nights but have never had to queue that long. As for dress code.. Wear what you want as no one gives as shit.. :D

Queues at DMZ's last birthday bash were insane, but the one I went to after that we hardly had to queue at all.

Like most bars and clubs if you turn up late you'll queue for at least an hour unless you're names down.
