quality sounds good, and the image seems to be fairly in tact. (apart from the sizing issue, but still, at least its legible unlike ours)

might aswell go for WMM then seeing as it can save up to 1080p
having purely HD uploads will be a good drawing in point hopefully.

so lets take off the first two and start again...also, start with UPLOAD001 ;)

You guys do realise 720p doesn't do shit for audio right? (well yes, a tiny bit of audible difference.. however on some videos I have noticed that 360p sounds better than 720p)
The thing you need when rendering audio is the ability to change the way the audio is encoded. (to make sure its not 64kbps with a shit mp3 encoder) In wmm, that's not possible.

heres another i uploaded today, if you switch between the non hd and hd versions you can hear the increase in quality. I used WMM for it so clearly using that program isnt the issue

Despite the fact that '720p' is referring to the quality of the video it *does* make a difference switching between standard and HD on youtube. I dunno about between 720 and 1080 but choosing HD definitely increases the sound. I can guarantee that no vid will sound better at 360.

Sinisterbeats wrote:ok, just finished my upload and it goes up to 1080p, audio seems to be intact. Used WMM. When you get to the "choose the settings for your movie" screen, click more settings and from the drop down menu select the Windows Media HD 1080p option. Heres the link if you wana judge the quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3UcrwmQJko

(it did mess the image up though, was ment to be a square image)
managed to fix the image being changed, for anyone that has this problem have a look at this link. http://www.google.com/support/youtube/b ... wer=146402

I think he was having trouble with rendering new videos but I explained above how I got good results with WMM.

Yeah that issue was resolved. We are literally poised ready to make the next round of voting, just waiting on jay to re-appear.

has no one else got the log in details for the youtube account? Or are those on the panel waiting to select the next tune before you upload?

tbh, it needs to be started again...existing videos need taking down, and the others need to be re-rendered and uploaded in the correct order.

but this page will be updated when that happens

HD, "radio play version of "Merced" took 45 minutes to render but hopefully worth it :)

Next going to upload Tripwires. And in the meantime we can get voting on the tracks to upload next month

So, I read this whole thread, sorry if I missed it, but,

Who is we? as in "we are voting", etc? The panel - but who?

I just submitted a track that is not downloadable. Should I resubmit? Figured it would only be necessary if you liked the track.

And is Kes-Es - Merced supposed to be only 1:35 in length, in the youtube video? or is there an error?

thx
