A DIFFERENT BASS DISCUSSION FOR ONCE! BASS LOOPS!
Can somebody please tell me why, when you buy a sample pack, it contains bass loops? Does anybody actually want to use a bassline someone else has created? I can understand single bass notes which sustain for a few seconds, because you can obviously use these in a sampler etc, but what are you supposed to do with a loop!? Ok, so you can load it into a sampler and hold down the key for different lengths of time to use just a section, or use it as a stab but still, imo they are pointless. Is there a use that I just don't know about?

God knows, I can't understand the one shots either 0.o waste of space in my opinion. I'd rather have some lovely high quality rare percussion sounds or something.

I suppose people can cut them up and re-arrange, but i'd never use them. Only for the fact that you know someone in the world has just got a drum, melody and bass loop from the same pack and made a track with it.

grabbing a loop for bassline in dubstep is like...... sampling guitar solos to make a blues song...
I couldn't think of a good analogy it's just utter waste. fake. an abomination.

The only way I can see it being useful is if you have a similar sounding bassline, and you use bits and pieces of it to accent your own. But to be honest, it's pretty hard to get a patch someone else made to sit with something you made and still sound cohesive.

bassloops are for someone who only entered music production and wants to impress his friends as soon as possible.

Bass Loops are for pussies. The real men make their own basslines.

I agree with all of these comments! So why the hell does every new sample pack think it's good to include loads of bass loops if nobody ever uses them!?
