"No sir, I will not check to see if your keys are in your pocket!"
Re: DSF possible meet up in London
I'd really really want to do something like this, but I live in fucking birmingham
If i could get one or 2 friends (don't worry they're members on here too) to come with me, get trains etc then I'm fucking 100%v up for this. We really need to get a community going on here, all the suggestions sound sweet so far.
So count me in on a proviso.

Re: DSF possible meet up in London
sure im up for this, but like legendary make it somehow abit productive and not just a random meet up in the pub hehe, would be nice to make a tune or something with everyone
Re: DSF possible meet up in London
Hahaha if we make a tune it'd be like the so solid crew or something. How do every single one of the 63 of them have a creative input in their songs!?

Never mind agreeing on a common DAW...
Re: DSF possible meet up in London
If you can handle it you can get a coach quite cheap if you book in advance! think megabus do something for about £5 if ur early.Debaser1 wrote:I'd really really want to do something like this, but I live in fucking birmingham![]()

@Phase Down: I get a headache trying to work with one other person in the same room lol. Imagine 10+ people trying to make as track together:D
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I am also not totally down with the PUB idea, its too cliche for meet ups. Something more eventful would be better I reckon, but hey thats just one guys idea, this is a group thing after all.

Agree it could be a minefield of arguments and disagreements. But hey, everyone fucking hated Ringo, but look how good the Beatles were

Re: DSF possible meet up in London
Nope. I was trying to find info on the next DMZ in London. Next month Mala and Loefah are doing it it in Leeds at Vox. Anyone know when the next London one is?wub wrote:serox wrote:Bump.

Re: DSF possible meet up in London
haha relax, its more likely about sharing technique's then actually coming out with a proper song
Re: DSF possible meet up in London
On a level though London guys...If you're up for a little meet up pre-this big one.. Come Mindstep if you're sick of nights being all about retardedly twisted midrange.. .Its cheapish drinks, free entry, J:Kenzo is playing (and me!)

Re: DSF possible meet up in London
Imagine they dont, and its a bit like Chumbawamba did it having over 300 technical participants on the CD, they broke into more focused groups of members which performed specific tasks within the creative process, then they merged the results in the end. "Quick and Dirty" South London Meetup?
Hey guys, I specifically joined up today to meet fellow dubstep fans in London. I'm not into production but just like listening to dubstep and searching the forums revealed this thread. The proposed end of March event sounds cool but how about something quick and dirty (ahem) beforehand, i.e. this or next week?
There's a South London pub that's 7 minutes walk from Kennington tube called The Doghouse. My mate had his birthday party there: they have a room upstairs that you can hire for free (as long you're buying drinks of course) and he had his iPod connected to their speakers. They had a TV there as well. I can't remember how it sounded as I was quite pissed at the time (haha) but it was a cool room and there was a good atmosphere.
I know there's a Latin band called "Los Musicos" who play in the room every other Tuesday night which is really popular so it can't be that bad a location plus the pub is open till midnight I think.
As people have said in this thread: the more simple the event the more chance of it actually happening! Let's just get together, have some drinks, share our music, talk and relax. Simple! But let's do it quick otherwise it'll NEVER happen.....!
Cheers.
