Jumping back into our regular monthly slot at The Reading Rooms, Crayon is very pleased to announce as its first guest of 2011, local noise monger, Loops Haunt. Following on from a hugely successful year in 2010, with two essential releases on Team Acre and Fortified Audio, Loops Haunt is continuing to make massive waves within the UK’s ever-evolving bass music scene. Foraging through the strands of hip-hop, dubstep and warped electronics, this young producer has being touring extensively across the UK and Europe, playing alongside the likes of Aphex Twin, Venetian Snares, Luke Vibert, Flying Lotus and countless others.
Set to be his final performance in Dundee before relocating to Berlin next month, this is set to be a very special show indeed. Keeping himself busy with laptop, turntable, miscellaneous hardware and a whole bunch of wires, Loops Haunt is set to deploy new material off his upcoming album, alongside a multitude of heavily manipulated staples. If you missed him at The Rooms last year, or if you’ve simply never bothered your ass, this could be your last chance to catch him in Dundee for a very long time.
