this article (if you ignore the blatant errors and clear lack of understanding of the dubstep genre beyond blake's work) was good. its nice to see hes a genuine guy with an interest in dubstep and doing his own thing. the one thing that has always bothered me about blake's music is the pretentious wankery that surrounds the experimental side of the genre due to the hipster bandwagon. nice to see blake is a safe guy doing his own thing ignoring the criticism about commercialisation and what genre it fits into etc people should just enjoy the music rather than fussing over what genre it fits into and who is allowed to like it etc

I quite liked this feature.

Anyways I reviewed Blake's album for my blog http://t.co/Sajj2T0 if anyone wants to read it - I love it!

the album is really good!
I've read an article that compared him to Barry White (or similar soul singers). but seriously how can you compare them? I mean, due to all respect, James Blake's not a bad singer but BARRY WHITE? couldn't name a track where his voice could even reach the greatness of barry white. but then, they also claimed his new album's called "Unluck".

I was discussing with someone the other day how his album had a slightly Arthur Russell vibe and here he list him as a inspiration. It's an insightful interview.
