Ah, this takes me back! When I was a wee lad getting into dubstep I never had all these 'forums' and 'streams', I had to tape Mary Anne and I never had enough tape for the whole show

I loved my old c90's of albums taped from friends.

Its funny how many recognisable designs of tapes there are. I like this site. I'd like a custom section of mixtapes with artwork on, that would be good.

i still use tapes regs. people at uni (audio specialised) used to cuss me for having a walkman instead of an ipod and i'd say 'so... u want me to get a tape deck to hook up to my computer, digitise all my tapes, cut the audio files into tracks, BUY an ipod for loads of money and put all the digitised tunes on the ipod? when i have a walkman... to play the tapes...?'

not gunna do that. NOR am i gunna re-buy all my tapes on cd. i doubt i could for most of em. loads of old dreamscape tape packs, soul, jazz, soca, reggae... stupid audio snobs.

was all about the minidisc for me. they were great. loads better than cd's cos you could easily put in marker points in mixes, rename, erase, whatever.

Yeah minidiscs were wicked! Better than tapes for putting albums or mixes onto, but not as good for recording radio shows cos you can only get 74 minutes on

Ah, the mighty cassette!

A few months ago I came across a really old tape, like a bogey yellow colour, covered in dust and something really crusty :? anyway, stuck it in the tape deck, what I thought was gonna be an old Curtis Stigus tape of my mum's....turned out to be Me, aged 5 singing my heart out to "5 Little Speckle Frogs" - to my relief, nobody was about to hear it but was a funny surprise.

I love listening to all my old tapes, I was the original mix tape queen!
