Stuff to do in Paris

Post by hayze99 » Thu Jan 27, 2011 1:35 am

So, I kind of bought a ticket to Paris, on a random impulse, to see some girl I was sort of kind of seeing.

Anyone know what's good to do down there?

Heading down tomorrow.

Na it's actually pretty cool. The lifts are crazy, and the view is immense.

And the queue is retarded. Same with the Louvre; cool to say you've done it, if you don't mind standing next to fat American tourists for 3hrs waiting to get in.

I got in straight away at the Louvre. Go early or late, obvs. Musee d'orsay is better anyway.

do the catacombs, they're (slightly) off the beaten track but a crazy place to visit

hit a jazz club if you can. i was staying opposite http://www.ducdeslombards.com/ and it had some awesome gypsy stuff on when i went.

that wouldnt take too long. he'd need to find something to do in the morning then. maybe:

10am-1pm enjoy a stroll on the bois de boulogne

1pm-5pm start civil rights riot on a banlieue

6pm-10pm have a delicious meal on the south bank whilst taking in notre damme by night

10pm-1am watch the live 24 hour news coverage of the riot unfold

Forget the value of money when you arrive. It is without doubt the most over priced city on the face of the earth. You'll find it hard to get a beer for under 8/9 euros
