seriously what is wrong with the people who run monsanto? they are like the Genghis khan of chemical companies.

the biggest problem i see with the current capitalist system is evident here. you have these huge companies, whose main mission is to please there stockholders. well, they're already huge, pulling in billions every year, yet without an increase in there quarterly profits, their stock price will suffer, shareholders will be pissed, and analysts will wonder what is going wrong with the company. So to keep their stock price up, they disregard everyone and everything they consider expendable and employ unethical tactics like this. This is by far the biggest flaw in the market system, which billions of people suffer for every year, yet it is regarded as a necessary evil by capitalist apologists who don't want their worldview/ego to be damaged by admitting that there is a better way.

try explaining that to the typical fox news viewer/ wall street journal reader and see how far you get without them completely shutting down mentally and talking over you...

Even the UN said agroecology is the way forward, GM crops are unstable and cause unforeseen problems like UN-genetically pigweed becoming resistant to Monsanto's Round-UP to the point where it's useless...
