Rooted's recent closure certainly reflected the supposedly inevitable decline of physical record stores. But ex-employee Chris Farrell hasn't sat around feeling sorry for the state of the industry, mutating his already established label Idle Hands into a full-blown store, due to open mid-February.

great news, i'll be popping over at some point fo sho now i'm just a shopper again (quite looking forward to that part actually!!)
bristol is too much of an important city musically and culturally not to have a proper old skool record shop

nice! I was gutted, went down for the first time recently just after finding out the news about rooted. tom still hooked me up though, but i'll look forward to checking this out hopefully next time
