Haha similar to me, except i'm not from sheffield but my dad is and i've got relatives up there. he used to take me to a few sheffield united games when i was young so i started supporting them

i think its kinda weird but then i remember that most london street slang is american anyway...

northern slang is different cos we're all backwards

london slang is just new york rip offs

such as:
proper
badman
big up
cheers
mate
safe
ez

more so when writing, but i find i actually use proper, safe, and cheers when i talk to my friends

i duno, i just genuinely prefer the sound of everything that comes out of your mouths so i think it's natural to adopt a little bit (i've had people tell me that the way i speak english sometimes doesn't sound like american english, maybe someone who moved here when they were in elementary school or some shit, so i consider it a success). also i watch ali g incessantly.

don't use too much when i'm not referring to something music related, though.. 'they were avin it,' 'going off,' 'innit,' 'fancy' (as in i fancy him), 'knickers' (HATE the word panties so this has become my alternative), and all the ones phigure mentioned above.

this....a lot of the words people are mentioning here arent even really slang, they are standard words possibly said in a cockney/ essex accent.... the kind of stuff you hear across london estates nowdays is proper obscure & nothing but london
