'Screamo' Samples/Acapellas?
Just wondering if anyone can link me in a certain direction to find some. It's been a efforttt scrolling through acapella sites finding suitable clips.

Re: 'Screamo' Samples/Acapellas?
I see this ending badly.
A conglomeration of my old tearout tunes I like, and my new ones I don't

I knew I wasn't going to get a decent response...
ehehe, it's only for an intro. And I can't scream for shizzles.

Do you mean screamo like Raien, Saetia, Orchid kinds of vibes, or do you mean mass produced, watered down, MTV friendly "screamo" that isn't actually screamo at all...

maybe you should try a screamo website, this is dubstepforum. IDK why youd expect a decent response. Screaming has nothng to do with dubstep...

No idea, but here's an idea: go through your favorite hardcore/metal records and find a section where it's just the guy screaming and sample that.

Yeah that's a good idea but won't get you much to work with.
However...
Some examples would be BMTH: Sykes says 'Move' when the band cut out before the breakdown in Tell Slater Not To Was His Dick.
Or even better, Job For A Cowboy: Entombment of a Machine at 28 seconds haha.
But if you want some proper acapellas... Enter Shikari did a remix competition so there's bound to be some vocals floating around the internet, get googling.
Hope this has helped.
Dan.

Re: 'Screamo' Samples/Acapellas?
I didn't expect a decent response, sorry if you misunderstood, just thought DSF would be a good place to ask considering it has a production section, which may contain sample information.
I normally don't even approach this kind of genre, so hopefully you don't assume I'm one of those attention-seeking followers who listen to music just for the image... it's just a track I've been working on that might fit with a screamo kind of intro, that's all.
I've looked through my music library, not a vast amount of metal in there, mostly semi-unknown Australian bands like House vs Hurricanes (even they're a bit too alternative) that are too produced to find a good section of vox only.
Cheers for the suggestions Dan, I'll have a look into that... Enter Shikari might be a good option. Hopefully no one listens to them here.

I have bare of these....
Load up screamo bands albums... Look for the part of the song where the scream is isolated (BARE tunes have this)... Cut it out of the track and load it in your DAW....
Its called sampling, a long forgotten art. Manipulate multiple samples to sound like the same vocalist and there you have it, a unique accapella.

Re: 'Screamo' Samples/Acapellas?
LIke you said, very few tunes have isolated screaming. And the fact that almost no bands make 'instrumentals', plus the amount of noise in the music, akes it near impossible to get a half decent accapellla. When you say manipulate multiple samples, do you suggest cutting out certain parts of the song and combining/inverting the left and right channels in cases where there is no isolation? Or am I thinking way too ambitiously and dumb?legend4ry wrote:I have bare of these....

It generally sounds all the same as well. New age taste.wub wrote:Good lord. That was terrible.
