This film just gets better and better with every viewing. Absolutely magnificent. Without a doubt one of the greatest films of all time.

You'll enjoy it the first time but not the second time. The nudity is good

not your usual crime drama, but entertaining and plot-twisting... definitely one of the most passive-aggressive mob films i've seen, but then again they all are, to some extent...

worth a watch, but i dont rate it as high as the critics do

I really enjoyed it, it's more geared towards to an older, more intelligent audience than I thought it would. It's a rare thing these days; Hollywood making a film that is simply a very good story (no impossibly good looking men or women in lead roles, no lazy dialogue, no guns, big explosions or bad acting) told well.

kind of feel the same now mate... just want an easy ride now days

@dutchstep Switchblade Romance is genuinely terrifying and really well made

Thought Switchblade Romance was fairly shit, alright for a quick horror but doesn't compare to other French horrors like Inside or even Martyrs.

(not the ring/the grudge or crap like that)

the recent english language remake is awesome too
That'll be because Haneke did the remake too, almost scene for scene, word for word. :Q:

Amazing director.

Films I have watched recently include A Clockwork Orange, Star Trek, Death Becomes Her, Psycho and Man on Fire.

Never understood remaking something in this way. Pointless.

I have no idea why he did it, maybe money? Didn't bother reading much into it. Just stick with the original usually.

there's nothing wrong with remaking films in a different language
