Thoughts on Sennheiser HD280 Pros?

Post by weedcali » Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:10 pm

Hello DSF. Ive been thinking about getting some new cans that are good quality but not too expensive. Ive came across the Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones and they looks sweet. their not too much money either.

Anyone used these before??

I have a pair of these. I really like them. Never had any problems, there a good set of cans for the price. Even though if you wanna spend like an extra $50-100 you can get a far better pair.

I use these, what is your use for them? studio? dj'ing?

They are mainly geared towards live use which is why I got them, if you are looking for studio use in that price range I would steer towards some of the semi-open akg's

Well i would be using them for producing. possibly live use in the future. so whats the difference between closed and semi-open in relation to producing? and i always thought AKGs were like $200+

and a bit of perspective, im upgrading from some $20 Sony MDR-V150s soo..... yeah these would blow them away im sure.

I've got them. I think they sound great, but i dont want to any much more because I have nothing to compare them to. To me theyre just a good pare of headphones that appear pretty accurate and are a good deal

On my second pair of these at the moment, I love them. They do get a little hot tho', but at that stage it's usually time to go for a cup of tea.
