Brettheaslwood – love the percussive hits man. Real sharp and powerful.

Nnny – I love the killer buzz you’ve got at your drop. Real nasty.

Cloak and dagger – I love your high blips, reminds me of crystal castles. The drums may be a bit rough though :/

Please feedback on mine? if you like, check out my soundcloud too.

@Traxione
It sounds like you have a limiter or multiband compressor on the master, when the bass gets too overpowering everything else get compressed. if you have, get rid of it right away.
I think the snare could be a little more powerful and punchy. I like the main idea of the track and those background synths :) If you fix the master problem and add a punchy snare I think it would sound pretty tight man, keep it up

bumping my tune at the same time

@tek9: Sweet intro, then crazily distorted bass. Nice. Heavy as nothing I've heard before, mate, and that's from the heart. I love the part at :40-1:05. Just a full assault. Again, NICE.

@Traxione: Smooth and chill, then hard and hot. I like the laughter sample a lot, but your lead synth is ace, too. But, I think the drums tie this together. Overall, sweet!

@oprs: Your pads sound a little overdriven -- I like that. But dude, your high-end sounds drowned out, almost, and sort of noisy. The flow is there, but I think the noise could be lowered.

Trying something a bit darker than normal.

@kikaruu ur song has so much potential to be something great but i feel like its ruined by too many bass sounds and some being quite annoying like that YOI gargle shot which is so not needed. Beat is def great. i think the song would be alot better if it was stripped down a bit so u can appreciate the atmosphere and a nice distorted bassline.

@TEK9 song is huge literally from intro to end its massive i cant say much else mate

@traxione im sorry but this is no good things are too loud to me and bass isnt very well done to me its sorta annoying id work on maybe replacing the bass patches with some other more processed less whiny sounds.

@tripwire22: sorry you don't like it. It's definitely a different style of dub, but it was more of the production value I was lookin for input on. I'm comfortable with the style, and I'm sorry you don't enjoy it.

ninthy thats insane, amazing production, mad props nothing to crit. even if its short, its totally worthy

trip flows so well, i think the bassline is insane. its got such a good mellow kinda up beat feel to it

kik i dig alot of it i can definatly see what you were leaning towards. some parts are just drowned out by others. id go back and tweak it just a tad turn some stuff down. and take out the yoi sound it would still be good without it

@tripwire22, @oprs: What yoi sound?

@HYPOTHES: There's a nice vibe emanating from this; I think that from :30 on makes this track for me. Not to discount the drop at :55, but it starts to feel repetitive from then on. Also, where's your feedback, mate?

Hi I'm new to the forum, I started taking notes on people's tracks to do my 3 feedback duty before posting mine, then I realized this is the finished tracks thread, and my tracks are far from finished lol. I thought I'd post my comments anyways.

kikaruu :
The ambient thing with pads and noises at the beginning is very cool. I would try to find a bass sound that doesn't cover it up so much later in the tune. I don't have any specific production suggestions, but that's the general direction I think would be cool for the track. At 1:25, there's too much going on; leave some space so we can hear everything! I like the lead ~3:20, the pitch bends are cool. ~4:40 the pads and bass don't fit; are they in the same key? The part ~5:10 with the clean bass is cool, it lets us hear everything.

tripwire22:
I love this tune! It's a lot like what I'm trying to do (not very successfully): drums and atmosphere with a sub under everything. The backwards drums at 0:30 are sick, and the sub at 0:58 is perfect, just at the limit of hearing, you feel it as much as hear it. The break at 1:24 is awesome (reminds me of Four Tet, he uses reversed sounds a lot); that bar of silence before the bass comes in makes the tune!. My one criticism is I think the pitch shifting on the ride might be too much.

@ Traxione: Nice track man, good basslines enough variation on it. nothing wrong with the master settings if you ask me.

@ ninty4: jes, get mad, nice man, some filthy shit over there!

New track by me and my mate kromabis.

reignz wrote:- invaderzim: didn't really like it, basicly cause there's alot of flaws both in sound design as in timings/rythm , the track sounds like it's been bitcrushed on the master out. also check your brass-like synth, the timing's not always on top.

- tylerblue : intro's real nice, i liked the drop but the bass missed some 'WOAH' feel to it, which is (i think) caused by your drum levels, which are abit too loud. Try spreading your high's in your bassline abit , make it more present in the mix :) other than that great tune ! 2nd drop is sweet btw

- arktrix : decent tune, just not enough going on for my taste :)

- HomeNoiseRecord: i liked the way you blended your guitar into the track, more of a progressive tune really but liking it. got some mixdown to do and some of the notes seem kinda out of place too

I made a drumstep VIP of my previously posted tune brainfever, im not really into drumstep myself but imo it made a fine upgrade to my tune in this case :)

@ Kaza - Enjoyed your new work, kept simple, repetitive but not the boring 'please change' sort of repetitive, and it sounds as crisp and full as it gets, good effort..

@ Reignz - naughty melody there, liking the rhythm in the wobble, would like to hear it with a bit more sub presence in there though, otherwise, badass. Also, kinda short, would like to hear where it goes after the fade-out!

@ Frenk Dublin - Sounds like there might be a bit of reverb overkill going on or something, the master a bit washy (intentional?) and perhaps I'd take the wobble down a couple decibels, seems the drums are a bit lost beneath it, and could do with punching through to be a bit more prominent.

Here's my latest efforts, a couple here that I've made over the last few weeks. 1st is a remix of a song by a mate and his missus, and second is a drumstep-ish sort of deal. any feedback on the tunes themselves would be cool but am looking for production feedback more than anything..! TIA.

#matelot
Liking the track :) maybe bring forward the synth a bit more! liking the LFO variation... :) sweet snare and nice hihats. maybe bring the kick forward a bit more.

#Asterix
the intro is quite nice :) drop is filthy.. :) maybe variate the melody a bit. and try to variate the wobbles as well. gets a bit boring! :/ and dont abuse the sample.

#KazaDubstep
Drop is fukcing sweet man! maybe a bit drowned in the bass? can't really say much :) seems like a nice track!

hey guys! I'm done with a remix of OptiX - Alone! I used the synthlead and the melody in my remix :) I hope you enjoy! leave any feedback on soundcloud ;) feel free to download :D

@Matelot - i think it might be a tad bit drowned out by the bass. great remix
@Asterix - like the wobbles, i think there could be more sine bass tho
@KazaDubstep - very awesome; the drums are beastly and the synths sound just right. good job mahn

this song will probably piss you dubstep people off, but ill just leave this here anyway XD

@traxione very well produced love the intro and the first drop before the wobble! that high pitched sound combined with that synth riff fit perfectly together! heavvyy intro with the wobble too man loving it, maybe make the wobble a LITTLE less distorted and more metaly sounding, but its amazing how it is! loved listening to it!

@ kikaruu- really cool beginning, not a bad drum beat! first drop fits perfect, maybe make your wobble a littl emore distinguished! love the groove to it though man nice work, liked your use of bitcrushing!

@superginger- creepy feeling beginning i like the mood it sets! i like the way you build up to the drop, a very house approach to it! love that sub and cowbell! very well made!

had fun remixing this, would love some feedback!
