@vandul - Man, this track is fucking awesome! Great work. Can't wait for a DL link. You've got some awesome sounds in there. I agree with Debaser1, the drums need to come up a bit (or the synths down) and an ending would be cool :) Apart from that I can't really think of anything I'd change. Maybe I'll think of something when my mind's less blown :D

@plastic_silence - I like your intro, really nice drums. Kinda 80s. Post-drop your track has rocked the socks off of all my neighbours. I love the sound that plays on the offbeats. is that the breathing guitar FRasch mentioned or am I being stupid? Something comes out at about 1:36 (echoey vocals maybe?). I think that's what you should drop into straight off. It'd make your drop more distinct and the really clean, controlled sound you get past 1:36 is great. I'm not a huge fan of your snare post-drop. It kinda juts out of the track. Awesome stuff overall.

@debaser1 - Cool sounds in there man. I like the airey sound that goes down the notes. Choo-bee-choo-bee-choo-bee-choo-bee! Is the title a Half-Life 2 reference, or is it combine as in bring together? Really bugging me. I think your intro is pretty darn cool and doesn't really need much work. I wish I could write melodies like you. I think it'd be cool to do more of the thing where the drums and synths play to the same rhythm. That's always cool (like in Kinder Surprise - Borgore). I reckon you just need to make more of the track and see where that takes you. I can't really comment structure-wise, for obvious reasons. Cool work as always man.

I just started this track today. I got a microphone for Christmas so I figured I'd record my drums instead of sequencing them. They're recorded in my bedroom, and they probably need re-recording, so apologies in advance for any shitness that I missed. Let me know what you think.

budsteq-automate some of the levels and bring stuff in more subtly! other than that just keep working at it man! definitely needs to be louder!!

jakedubber-yo the sample is sitting a little too far in front. give that baby some reverb! pretty interesting track though! everything else sounds pretty good. not really my style, but i can dig it. i love the sample tho haha, army of darkness is my shit!

vandul-i like that snare actually its pretty sweet i must say. the flow of your track is fuckin sweet man, its nice n groovey. keep workin at this! i dont find anything wrong with it really

heres my WIP, feedback is appreciated!!

Sprayypaint: Wow this is some experimental shit. Ideas are ace! Production wise, the bass drowns out all the percussion (particularly kick n snare). Very nnice short reverb on that bass though. PLUS, anyone that used tuned percussion is cool in my book!!

Jakedubber: Sample's are sweet as. Nice chunky bit of drive on those drums? Love it, just need to punch through more. Bass line is pretty dope too. It reminds me of something Radiohead would do. Drum line is very Phil Selway. Top notch!

I return with an updated version of my track. Made some tweaks and changes.

budstep- nice track man, I like the samples and bass. it does seem a bit long imo but its still good.

jakedubber- digging that drop man the drums sound pretty good too this will be real interesting when its finished.

FluidMoShun- I like that intro man, 3:19 very nice what is that? it sounds like some kind of crazy string instrument

Vandal- real nice man your drums to need to come up more be sure you read the mixing thread in the bible where it talks about cutting the bass I think that would help your kick be more prominent.

sprayyypaint - haha really like the short choppy bass get the drums sorted out like debaser said and it will be a killer.

debaser1- man that bass is beast, I'm really digging the intro this track is going to be mean when you finish it.

Ok here is my new wip i've only been at this one for one day but I think it was ready for feedback. I've only seen brostep remixes of this song and thought it deserved something more chilled unfortunately it didn't turn out all that dubsteppy maybe you guys could help me improve that lol
Thanks dsf.

Debaser1:
At 0:20 the strings don't really mesh with the other synth; maybe take the strings down an octave? or use a sound that's more different from the other synth. A bigger snare would be nice, and the kick is a little "clicky" for my taste.The bass is very cool though.

sprayyypaint :
I like the massive snare. ~0:20 things don't seem to fit: the panning synth in the background doesn't fit with the xylophone-type sound. I'm not too fond of the bass sound, but I don't like a lot of the mid-rangey sounds in dubstep these days, and I know some people do, so if that's what you want. Also it would be nice to have more than just one note for the bass! Some kind of riff that fits with the tuned percussion.

jakedubber
I'm not crazy about the sample at the beginning, the guy's voice is kind weak. Maybe pitch-shift it down? Also like sprayyypaint said, reverb.
the recorded drums are cool, the snare has an awesome kind of trashy sound. The hi-hat pattern at the end is nice, its all about the accents!

So here's my WIP. It's a very different style than anything I've seen on here. I'd especially appreciate comments on the mix, cause I've only just started learning how to do it properly. (I know it's super quiet, but when I upload anything that peaks above -6dB in FL, Soundcloud seems to compress into shit.)

Makerowner, I think you should lower the volume of the first non percussive instrument that comes in, when additional things begin to enter the mix they're a bit drowned out by the first one

Coreygoesrawr I like the track, I can't think of anything negative to say about it

And Sprayyypaint, the percussion is pretty much awesome, sounds like hollowed out bottles

I'm not actually sure if this is dubstep, the swing high hat pattern made me think it may be, sort of like rob sparx's casino. Any suggestions? As I've hit a brick wall

Thanks man :) I did notice after taking a break and listening to it again my bridge just before the chorus really loses the little energy that was there so I need to work on that.

bubblypatrick- the intro reminds me of an old school typewriter pretty sweet, and that drop at 1:00 is a beast. As I'm listening to it it kinda sounds like the "typewriter" needs to be turned down just a hair its over powering the other percussion. I like that transition into the second drop too.

makerowner- pretty nice track as far as levels go try either turning down the liquidy sounding synth or bringing everything up to it, because it seems to stand out over the rest. I like that little melody sythn that creeps up here and there I would like to hear more of it but that's just imo.

Cyberex- Feelin the remake, besides maybe working on the mix a bit more to clear things up I cant really give you constructive criticism because I think you are more advanced then me, awesome sounds love the energy it brings.
bubblypatrick- MASSIVE BASS dude, sounds wonderful on my system. intro is a bit boring to me but then again thats probably exactly what you wanted, maybe work on a nice catchy synthline.. keep it rollin dude dont loose it.
makerowner- Brilliant work fucking love the vibes, definitely work on the mix, overall volume isnt pumping enough. Great melodies and rhythmic patternso tho!

i cant tell if this 130 beat shit is just gay or what idk where im taking this but some feedback would be lovely

@debaser: flows so well, loving it.

@budsteq: dunno if it's meant to be but loved how chill it was.

@jakedubber: Rest could have been gash and I wouldn't have cared, purely because of the Evil Dead sample haha. Enjoyed the rest but, recorded drums were interesting.

Don't really have anything I'm confident enough about posting but was bored and thought I'd feedback anyway haha.

didn't realise it too, sorry for that.. now i'm home and here's my feedback;

@CoreyGoesRawr
yesterday a mate showed me a remix of that song, and i was like come on, not really?i like your chilled style on that. maybe you put ( or pull it up, dont know my headphone's are sad) a nice warm sub under it and tune the reverb a bit. just my opinion, but nice ;)

@debaser
yeah i like those kind of bells very much :D reminds me of a cow in the countryside on acid, very cool indeed. with those synth's they combined very well. nuff said :)

@jakedubber
i like your recorded drums also very much, very nice played and of course with that intro i felt in love :D i think with a rerecord of the drums in a studio or so, that tune gonna be hot :)
