Post by belalala » Tue Jan 25, 2011 8:24 pm

anyone ever been to this fest? looks like a proper vacation spot, always wanted to go to sardinia... perhaps a bit swanky tho.
shame it usually starts the same weekend as outlook...

My lot went last year and said it was sick. Storeys of acid on the beach as the sun rises after a good ol skank sounds good to me. But yeah it is shit how it's at the same time as outlook. Most of my mates are more into dnb so it's always going to be snb over outlook which is a shame.

I'm just waiting for it to be confirmed as happening this year (rumours floating around it's not) and then I'm booking flights etc.

Looks like a beautiful place and would be really good but not into my dnb that much haha.

Plus it's same time as Outlook.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

benicassim is fucking quality, i ruined myself completely that week... going to the waterpark across the road whilst absolutely wasted was a great idea, also seeing a girl give herself a nosebleed when the cork on her champagne bottle popped in her face was golden.

In terms of electronic stuff, the closest we got was justice (who smacked it tbf)

i've been to sting once. sting is a party like sun and bass. the one i went to in 2002 had over 500,000 people. mental, but amazing! so many stories! the problem with parties this big is that, usually they don't have any idea how to control the crowds. jamaica had to call in the army for the one i went to. which also means, if things go bad, good luck!

Yeah dont get me wrong I'm sure it will be sick judging of what I heard of last year. I went to Exit last year actually. Thought it was pretty decent. I'm 1/4 serbian aswell and it was my first time over there which made a bit more interesting I think.

sun n bass is actually quite humble in size, its a bit expensive cos the location has been a tourist trap since before the festival, the only problem is the late events are all dnb,

that said,

i felt better skankin out to some dubstep during the day on the beach...

I went about 3 years ago. Was a luxury holiday. The area its held in is lush. And the beaches are perfect. We had a villa litterally on the beach, couldnt ask for anything else.

Paradox Live was one of the best things ive ever seen when it comes to Jungle. real bizniz

There was loads of house/techno sets outside. Allong with some really good dubstep @ Bal Harbour.

I reckon it will be a lot more diverse nowadays. There was plenty of variety 3 years ago, can only see this increasing.

Randall b2b Doc Scott playing Old Skool for hours in a random bar in town the night before the festival ahd even started was one hell of a way to kick off the week
