Big MD- decent tune, maybe work on the first riff a bit its a tad boring, also work on your midrange in the first bit too, sounds a bit naff.
zerot- nice idea, definitely work on the mixdown for the intro, its all fighting for room a bit too much, maybe eq the vox and turn them down a bit.
ruthyloops-your levels are all over the place, turn your midrange up a bit, turn your drums down, use some different cymbal sample or edit the ones you have, sounds a bit cheesy unless thats what your shooting for.

Heres my offering sorry for the abrupt end its just a basic draft, still need to eq the sub and the kick yet too:

MRP5 wrote:Cyberex- Feelin the remake, besides maybe working on the mix a bit more to clear things up I cant really give you constructive criticism because I think you are more advanced then me, awesome sounds love the energy it brings.
bubblypatrick- MASSIVE BASS dude, sounds wonderful on my system. intro is a bit boring to me but then again thats probably exactly what you wanted, maybe work on a nice catchy synthline.. keep it rollin dude dont loose it.
makerowner- Brilliant work fucking love the vibes, definitely work on the mix, overall volume isnt pumping enough. Great melodies and rhythmic patternso tho!
Cheeky Nice start, sound quailty is very nice. Work on a nice sequence i think you have a nice start but I can see very quickly that I might be lost of boredom.Start to fuck around the with stepper in massive, if you use that.
Big MDI agree with the post above, definelty a tad boring throw in some nice higher registering synth line to grab me. Aslo i noticed at the 1st drop, the sample fades out with delay, possibly keep that clip with the delay up until the drop starts and automate the volume, there's an awkward silence which i didnt like.

i cant tell if this 130 beat shit is just gay or what idk where im taking this but some feedback would be lovely

feedback never goes both ways :trolling:

@zerot
Was a good listen but like stated above I think its a bit jumbled and nothing punches through. Kinda has a feel of playing 3 synced youtube vids at once if that makes sense?

@Big MD
The mix of those hit and stabs in the intro are a bit loud and might need the high end brought down a bit. Also the basses sound a bit thin. I think with the right tweaking of sounds you'd have a good idea on your hands.

@Cheeky
Truly great listen. Mix is very solid and everything sound nice and crisp. The only criticism I have is I'd like to hear some LFO rate variation but its not bad at all the way it is. Finish it!

Here's a unfinished WIP of mine that I'm presenting more as a preview so it doesn't just sound like a song part. Having difficulties with certain parts so I didn't want to post them just yet. Let me know what you think of it so far so I know what to work on. Thanks

Really like the intro to your tune. Dont like the drop though. Maybe add some effects to the horn sound. Other then that its a pretty cool track.

Hi, I'm new to the whole dubstep production scene. I've been a musician for my entire life, play 5 instruments, and I often feel that I overvalue cool composition over general feel of song, so i'm here for some constructive criticism.
Soundcloud

I think this track has a solid feel, but it doesn't feel done. This is also my first dubstep song ever, though it's pretty gore-filled. Please, any tips, pointers, ideas on how to make my first drop hit hard without redlining so bad, overall mix ideas, anything.

Thanks so much in advance! This community seems to rock already.

@nnny: Loving the piano, but I just feel like those chords are begging for a melody on top of them. Personally I would use another piano track and play it on the upper register. Also, maybe tone down the snare a bit? It seems a tad bassey. Really like the driving, mellow feel on this one.

@jamiecypher: I listened to this one a few times, and it kinda grew on me. Definitely unique. The only thing I might change is the drums. Maybe make them more mellow during the softer parts?

@Malleus: Likin the bass. it's got some personality for sure.

@zephhh: Nice tune. The horn synth sounds a little cheesy (not the bass but the higher one doing the off beats), but I like the sinister feel. For some reason I feel like a harpsichord solo would fit in nicely somewhere in there (just replaying the melody with the chords underneath) ;) but that's just me.

My current WIP's in my sig. I'm pretty much done working on it, but I'm still trying to refine the snare drum. Let me know what you think.

@Sonic Arts: Thanks! I appreciate the feedback and I was actually told the same thing by a co-worker I had listen to it today at work. By the way, I'm loving the campfire dub. Love that lead so much. You really achieve some good warm tones and the song is extremely atmospheric, which is something I feel my work lacks. The Campfire Dub really makes me feel like i'm sitting outside on a hot summer night around a fire, and I could really take a page out of your book. Hope you can figure out your snare issue, I personally like the one you have on there later on, but early in the song I think something punchier might work better.

@MRP5 I love how polished your piece sounds, and I know i'm new around here but here goes my feedback. I think you may want to switch up the drums when you drop the bass, currently you've got a beat with snare hits on counts 3 and 7 of eighth. Maybe try something with a snare hit on beat 5 just to slow things down and make it groovier before getting all busy again. Sounds like a keeper, or worst case scenario you could shoe-horn part of it in to another track for a bridge perhaps. Loving the track keep it up!

#jamiecypher
nice intro dude!!! drop needs more bass. try putting a sub bass underneath it. nott keein on that type of wobble but I really like that LFO work!!!

#ruthyloops
I'm not feeling that start mate! second part is nasty though :D it gets you quite fucked uup haha! those percs are cool but since they are rude, I'd say you just use them at times and keep it more clean at the most of the track :)

#Malleus
production wise it's way over my head! very well produced... but maybe get a bit more creative? feel like you've heard that stuff 10 million times. but if that's the way you want it, fine! it was well produced and all so nice job! :)

over to my track! leave any feedback on soundcloud please :)

@ MRP5
hey mate , the tune is inspiring but try lowering the levels on each instrument, the percussion is really high and the other synths as well , try that and tell me what you get
