Complaining on twitter about not winning mainstream music awards was embarrassing.

by all technicalities, he's pop right? Not aiming for DSF awards lol.
Pop? -q-

yeah that was weird, but i think it also suggests why peeps are calling Cosmogramma "too much." It was his big concept record, the one where he pulled out all the stops. It's a difficult album to get in to, but not just for the sake of being difficult. Every decision he made on that one makes sense in the context of the album. Cosmogramma is only interested in following it's own logic. Let's not forget that FlyLo was raised on experimental jazz. It's very possible that he started off as a "hip-hop" producer not because he wanted to make hip-hop, but because that was the format where he could express his ideas best. As he has refined his talents, I think he's moved closer to the kind of music he's always wanted to make.

Oh and TOKiMONSTA is reeal nice. she's got a new remix of a Daedelus tune that's on his soundcloud for free. Why don't girls like that exist outside LA?

First time I heard Cosmogramma I smoked a fat blunt and listened to it side by side, start to finish. So maybe thats why I like it, but its still a neat album. Why is nobody mentioning Pattern+Grid World? Groovy EP
Flylo has far from lost it, hes on his own level
That said TokiMonsta is pretty sweet as well

totally slipped my mind, but yea Pattern+Grid World is dope too. It almost sounds like the record he made to prove he hadn't lost his marbles with Cosmogramma.
