ah crunk can be so good in small doses. the lyrics are brain dead but its fun party music. you can hear its influence in a lot of EDM these days.

lol @ people saying metal as if it's all the same... it would be like saying "i don't like dubstep because i heard a skrillex track and it hurt my ears, what an awful genre that i shan't bother with"

metal itself is so divided into subgenres that many metal fans can name subgenres of metal they cant stand, i could easily argue that metalheads hate metal more than people who don't listen to it because metalheads will actively hate on bands or styles they don't like (remind you of any other genres?) where as people who don't listen to metal are indifferent to the genre as a whole

for example, myself an wolf89 are both metal affectionados but i'm pretty certain that it would be very difficult for us to actually agree on bands we like

Soul R&B.

*(Not “normal” radio R&B, like Ciara/Aaliyah, I’m talking about that self-righteous, I eat grass and burn incense and am more black than you because i call everyone a brother and sister and never wash my hair so its natural and every song i make is so deep and meaningful but i’m really just rambling off about nothing with words i looked up in a thesaurus to sound intelligent stuff…

And mainly because that crowd, which at one point included a lot of my friends, HATES electronic music with such self-righeous condemnation and labels anything not coming from a guitar as “Techno” which really sends me over the edge…

/rant. 8) Yes. I’m bitter.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Anything that has to do with cars, money, blunts, tits, ass, fucking, pussy, bitches, clubs, dancing, "ice", rims, paintjobs, clothes, drinking, guns, killing, shades, and milkshakes all in the same "song".

A nice little template for everybody.

Hate to break the trend here, but I've yet to find a single genre that there isn't at least one song in that I haven't enjoyed listening to at one point or another. Not talking about going out to a club and actually dancing along to it for hours at a time, but from a listening standpoint.

The Night Slugs type stuff, I just can't find the vibe, I've tried but it just goes back to sounding all production and no pulse.

There are always some gems in every genre but I think if you could 'never get into a genre' it doesn't really class as liking a few songs and thats it, you like the genre.

For me, it's Trance
Shoegaze/Dream pop (minus like Slowdive)
The new Metalcore era
Tough guy Hardcore (Sick of it All, Madball, Terror and the wave of crap hardcore bands)
Happy Hardcore and hardcore in general (I like some gabba, hardstyle and speedcore but stuff like Styles and Breeze etc)
Commercial indie, some indie pop is good though, think Belle and Sebastian.

Probably loads more, still...I like a lot more than I hate I think!

You've so perfectly described what I have spent weeks of my life in studio time recording. And I will never be able to get that time back. :crybaby:
