the wiseman annihilation - this is real good production if this is some of your first stuff man! defiantly better with reason than i am reminds me of feed me- red blood a little bit with the kind of trancey feel to it! good synth work but would be nice to hear the beat calm down every now and again so the rest can breath.

ratraceproducing outside your own head - sick! really enjoyed it. when the first synth came in i didn't really think i was gonna be feeling it but when everything came together it gelled perfectly! crisp! loved the kinda of whistling sound!

FRasch - really feeling it mate! nice sample, works really well and only criticism is that the bass is overpowering everything a little! apart from that it is working well! would defiantly listen to this outside of the forum!

heres mine. been working on it for a week... first time using a rex and using an amen... so feeback on that and generally on the whole track would be good! cheers!

@Notbellm: I've been making hip beats for the last couple years, which I still do. Been doing the whole dubstep thing for about 3 months now. Thank for the comment. Good to hear people like the tracks.

@ NG_GAMMA - The intro is big feeling that alot mate more on the deeper side, and when the amen break beat comes in ... but the drop not to much of a fan, you need to get the volume levels right the warp is too loud imo!

@ JAKEDUBBER - the voice sample is sick, and the intro again is alot, the drop is not to my taste!

@ thepolymerdrone - liking this warper alot more than the ones i have listened to so far .... the pianoey synthy bit liking that!

@ coreygoesrawr - decent work, the synth that sits on the top is nice ... but not feeling all this 'brostep' style thats what all of you seem to be making

all the tracks so far are this brostep malarkey, not feeling it too much!

but anyways ... this is something i have been working on have a butch let me know

Lovin the track. I think the sample could be a bit louder although I can hear what's being said just fine the way it is. Huge fan of Chronic and Solid on your soundcloud too. You're obviously an original dubstep purist which is good to see on the forum giving constructive criticism on the new styles. Appreciate that more than you know. Most don't realize that people don't spin the original shit in most countries and 'brostep' is hitting clubs big these days. I know a good handful of heads who still love and respect the old dub but know they won't get spins if they produce it. So thanks again for the input and not being a dick about the newer sub-genre.

ngama- nice use of the amen, but the whole wub wub just doesnt fit with everything? and a little repititve.

steeple im in love with it man. deep. fuckin dark and nice. mad props

asterix sub in the intro is a little too strong. not a fan of the kick roll you got going. the 2nd drop is alot better then the first one.

@ Steeple: yo that tune sounds like it has some potential, really digging the intro, sounds like some distance type stuff...super dark...maybe just make the percussion a little more varied


@ gamma: pretty sick amen break, sorta like lightining by skream.....maybe just change your synth midrange bassline patterns, sounds a little to bland...but keep it up with the sample usage!!



heres this tune i just finished, it took me ages to get the mixdown right, but im happy with this....but watch out it is a little bit heavy on the brostep side, but it does have some melody to it

@oprs - i like the drums at the beginning dude, completely caught me off guard. That first drop is feckin HUGE, very simplistic, i like what you have done but that robotic sound grates on me, i feel it needs smoothing out a little. I was watching the waveform looking for a huge 2nd one but never got it

@rinseballs21 - that bass is deeeeep dude! nice and smooth. the intro seems to be a bit long for my liking but overall pretty good. I do feel as though you could make more use of the meloody which sneaks in later on.

@Asterix, nice build up to that bass where the soundcloud comment is.maybe im missing the point by looking at my previous comments but it feels bare as well, i think one or two instruments at the most in the background could fill up the empty space. thats jst my opinion tho


Help me out guys, iv done previous tracks at the rate of one a week with my guitar experimental stuff but now i fancy something a bit more commercial wise Also the first song iv done using Reaper, but im getting a bit stuck. any hints?

just a bit of an udate guya iv changed the mix a bit since my post earlier today, new ones in the sig

4cysdub - i like the drop but im not sure about the quiet bits in between, maybe just my speakers but it sounds a bit too dead. maybe a bit of change in the eq could liven it up a bit?

Thanks man! i dont know about your speakers, but u should hear a big sub bass mainly.. i have adjusted levels a bit too.

4Cysdub-Bro you can never have too much bass! haha I liked it man, it was pretty filthy. I think there could be alittle more highhat activity in the back ground. I could only hear them very slightly, and also maybe change up their pattern alittle bit. Same thing with the wobbles. After while alittle change up is nice to hear. Nice first track though keep up the good work!

4cysdub- thats a crazy first track. the only thing i can think of is to make different wobbles every once in a while in it but overall its a good song. nice work

I really like this track a lot. Its got some really hard hitting drops and creative sequences. I'd say the production is good as well but its hard to tell with youtube vids that aren't high def. Get yoself a soundclound and lets here that shit at 320! I'd download that shit man!

@steeple. thanks... could you explain what you dont like about the drop? and i was trying to get away from bro-y sounding stuff but its alot more difficult to make deeper stuff! especially just subby stuff... imo anyway. You track is real good, thats the kind of stuff i wanna try and work towards but its taking a while to get there. i need a mentor... learning everything on your own is difficult especially with only experience playing drums!

@ asterix cheers mate! liking the kick in your tune and the bass drop on it! i think it switches into the drop a little too fast would nice to hear some elements from the intro in it to keep it flowing through

@ oprs and rinseballs21 you both pretty much had same comments, thanks for the praise with the amen, ive enjoyed working with it... ive reduced the volume on the main synth because i dont want it overpowering. ive also tried to vary the bass after the amen but in the main section do you think the bassline should change like the melody or just the pattern?

oprs that tune is mental mate.. think it could do with a little more snare though!
