Eminem, Mos Def, Black Thought Freestyle (2009)

Post by sirsnaf » Thu Feb 03, 2011 5:15 pm

not sure if this has been posted before, its quite old...

looks a real staged, so not sure how 'freestyled' it is, but still, it always cool to see three dope rappers rapping...

I wish Eminem, or hell, all those rappers there, to just do more battle raps over raw beats rather than what they're mostly known for these days.

It's easy to forget that Eminem's actually a very legit MC.

indeed. Eminem's one of my favourite rappers, i cant stand the style of his new stuff but some of his flows are still way ahead of man commercial rappers. his new album is musically weak imo, but if u listen to just his rapping then theres some incredible stuff there. but yeah, shame its sounds like tripe.

What i dont get is, nearly all his fans are crying out for a proper hip-hop album, not a pop album. Im not saying rehash his old stuff or owt, but it is possible to do a solid rap album thats commercially viable without Rihanna smegging all over it.

I dunno, last year Wu had 3 above average albums out with Rae, Ghost and Wu Massacre, Talib's got a new album out soon, maybe out already, then the Detox and JayZ/Kanye collabloration LP of course, though i fear both the last two will just be autotuned and pop orientated, even though they both hold the greatest potential of any rap album of the last 5 years...
