Soundcloud

I've been making grime lately under the name Ma'ev (http://www.soundcloud.com/maevgrime), and that's what this was supposed to sound like, grime, but it doesn't particularly sound like grime or dubstep, so I'll just call it 140 BPMs, and let you decide lol.

Soundcloud

Nephilim - Island of Sleep (Ma'ev grime mix)
heavy subby laid back but hard tune. turn your subs up and relax. =)

hehehe oh ok cool. do you think it could be called grime, and a UK grim MC could flow over it?

This definitely sounds like grime. Grime with house sounds.

The sparse arrangement, lack of melodic hook, and lots of room for verses on top of main parts, works in favor of it being grime too. Room for the hook and verses, in fact it sounds like it's waiting to be laced.

You could probably abuse the half-bar gimmick at 2:17 a bit more liberally throughout the track between verses, it sounds great. :corndance:
