Yoo!
Im using Ableton Live, and thought of buying a controller so that im able to arrange my tracks live and then go back and fix the eventual mistakes etc.
I want to be able to trigger ableton clips while controlling parameters and faders so i got full control over my track.
I've heard about the Akai APC 20/40? Anyone using any of these?
Also i've heard of the M-Audio UC33 Evolution, and the Novation Launchpad?
What do you guys think is suitable for my needs?
Thanks a lot mates!

APC 40 all the way. It is made specifically for Ableton, hence the name Ableton Performance Controller. Also works straight out of the box so you won't even have to midi map all the knobs and faders to the parameters. Super fun to play around with too.

I have a launchpad and an APC40
The APC40 is INCREDIBLE.
Learn how to use macros/effects racks and you're totally set.
Check the article up on

There is an article on the APC40 vs launchpad.
Here is my lab:

I’ve used ableton a few times with a BCF2000, novation launch pad and Nocturn. It works well but I’d imagine the APC 40 would be a more elegant solution.

how bout something different? How about Maschine? Thats what I use for beats and I love it. Plus, you can set it up as a midi controller and launch clips and all that shit!

i've had my apc20 for a few days now and its brillient, i am currently saving for a Novation Zero ssl mrk 2 for more parameters, but the apc20/40 is perfect for what you'd need

The APC20 is a bit lacking without it's larger counterpart.
I wouldn't mind a BCR2000 because I dislike having to focus on a track to control it.
