Anybody know a good sounding piano resampler, or vst?
I've been using the ableton grand piano and tweaking with that but its not really cutting it for me, I want something really dub, ya know! obviously you achieve that with some delay and FX but without a good source its tough.
Thanks mates

Kontakt, it does way more than just this, but it's a little pricey. If you was going to get it, might aswell grab komplete, because it cost about double, but then you get all them other lovely NI plug-in, like Reaktor, Absynth, and Massive.

the M1 would sound good for digi-dub
not so much for rootsy stuff
here's a list with a good variety in different formats...
the tape pianos are good for dub stabs, nice n honky...

In fairness I quite like the sound of the Ableton one... I don't see whats wrong with it tbh.
Its going to be sampled in the same way to the same quality as all the samplepacks, so unless you are a proper officionado and want the sound of a bosendorfer or something I would say fack it. Especially if you are just using it for dub sounds...

Well £200 for Kontakt, £400 for Komplete.zerbaman wrote:I love how you just say "might aswell" as if this shit is cheap.3za wrote:Kontakt, it does way more than just this, but it's a little pricey. Kontakt = Sampler.
Komplete = 24 high-quality products with 10,000 sounds and 90 GB of samples, covering nearly every instruments category (includes Kontakt).
£400 for Komplete = "might aswell" if your going to buy Kontakt.
Can't know one see my logic???

i agree with this and if you dont register your licenses for the other stuff, you can always sell em, right?3za wrote:Well £200 for Kontakt, £400 for Komplete.zerbaman wrote:I love how you just say "might aswell" as if this shit is cheap.3za wrote:Kontakt, it does way more than just this, but it's a little pricey. Waste!3za wrote: No thats catch 22, you get one licenses for all the products.
Still, once you have komplete you don't really need another fx or synth again... Spesh with Reaktor... All you need is bare ram and cpu power.
I own reaktor and FM8, bought em separately over a space of a year and I really wished i'd just copped komplete.

Probably worth it, but far from cheap.3za wrote:Well £200 for Kontakt, £400 for Komplete.zerbaman wrote:I love how you just say "might aswell" as if this shit is cheap.3za wrote:Kontakt, it does way more than just this, but it's a little pricey. Re: Anybody know a good sounding piano resampler, or vst?
But you can sell your reaktor and fm8 and pick up komplete. That is essentially what I did. Doing it that way, I got Komplete for like 2 hundo, that really isn't all that expensive, just for one vst let alone a near universe of vsts.legend4ry wrote:Waste!3za wrote: No thats catch 22, you get one licenses for all the products.
