anyone care to share how long it took to hear back?
also any UWE/goldsmiths/sussex/UArts people please shed some light on your experience.
took me about 3 weeks to get an offer from one of my choices, still havnt heard from the second one but i think it can be any time up til may. you apply though UCAS?
ye through UCAS, with the exception of London College of Communication. submitted just a week or 2 after january 15 because the international deadline isn't til june 30... hopefully that won't hugely impact anything. grades from the uni I'm in now aren't the best (between a B and a B+ average) but it's a very good school, especially for journalism. plus maybe UK schools need all the international tuition they can get? gah, i'm really banking on getting out of here this fall, will be pretty stumped if nothing works out for me
here's to hoping...!

I keep toying with the idea and putting it off. I'd like to do one with the OU so I can structure it around fulltime work. I want an MA in something utterly useless like anthropology, media studies, or some sort of political science with sociology but I doubt my previous degrees would get me on either. Just like learning about stuff...!

yeah useless but academic degrees are the best, although with mine id also like to get knowledge of publishing industry aswell just to see if its gonna be of any interest to me.
as well as OU it'd probably be worth considering doing a part time course somewhere, it would mean part-time work only as an option but that way you can find a course with particularly good/experienced lecturers, i dont know much about how OU works but i like the idea of having a place to study

Halls are around £90 per week, bills inc. My house is £52 a week (water included) - between 3 the net is approx £2.50 a week each, leccy roughly £4.30 a week each, and gas about £4.80 a week each. Works out at £63.60 a week each - halls are a rip mate.

No better way to meet people than in halls mate, was just thinking if you were making the decision based purely on money

House. Halls can be uncomfortable depending on who you live with. But for meeting new people in your first year it has to be halls.
