Yeah they want to charge another 50 bucks. Fuck them I am out tbh. Found a deal on Serato SL3. Peace M-Audio. On the real tho I haven't checked it but I have been reading the forum since it's tapatalk Compatable... Yow the mods are busy. Seems as tho they let it out basically in beta form. I might check out the wares version when it pops up :noteef:

Yeah I know and me like an idiot has been taking it out with me all this time. I swear it's been getting worse. I don't think it's a software issue tbh. All of a sudden, no sound! And in the program the wave form is still moving and everything. This happened to me 3 times on NYE and I swore that was the last time. I have been turning down gigs until I can find something else. If you say shit on there they act like you are a troll. I just want my shit to work! But also I have had drop outs and stuff been laying back on the latency but no love. It works ok at the house. I don't know what it is on the live setting. Some say the lighting and stuff but the club I play at all the time we have NO lighting. I have no answers for them you just wait for it to happen again. Fuck that. I'd have Serato already but I am poor :?

I have both Torq/Connectiv and Serato.
When I only used torq I would ensure I brought vinyl because I would need to restart torq occasionally due to crack/pops from the audio driver on a relatively beefy dual core laptop.
I see people running Serato on fucking netbooks without a problem lol.
They built the new torq from the ground up so ya it may be built with stability in mind but think of it as torq sequel 1.0 NOT as torq 2.
Nothing beats stability for a live performance and serato gives you that. Plus integration with Ableton Live as of Live 2.0.
I <3 serato.
Plus the fucking connectiv interface randomly quits working for me on windows 7 and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. it's in the closet now and I'm writing with my onboard sound and ASIO4ALL on my production rig.
Macbook is dedicated to serato.

YES Deck you have the same thing as me. It randomly quits and I have to pull the usb cord out and restart the program. Insane. Even thought there are quite a few threads on their board about it, they have no idea this problem exists. I am doubtful that it's even fixable but why would you want to support a company with such shoddy quality? And M-Audio is KNOWN for it. They all think because AVID is in charge now shit is going to get better but I have seen no evidence of this. Can't fucking wait for Serato or at least Traktor Scratch. They have mad vinyl options to you are right :P

Was considering buying it until I read this thread. Definitely going to save for Traktor or Serato now :)

I want to get a DVS at some point, and was considering Torq because of the price.

I'd never take it out of the house. I only use my dubplates and vinyl when I play out.

You say Torq is fine as long as you don't gig it - is that true or just a figure of speech?
If I can scratch on it with low latency and spin .wavs at home without it breaking then I'm eager. If its just as unreliable at home as it is at a gig, then I'm not interested and I'll get Serato next year or something.
Cheers!

as a Torq user I'll tell you straight up... save up for serato

if this upgrade I'm buying tonight is shit, I am switching to serato and selling my torq for $150

a used SL1 box is looking like a pretty good option right now

I was going to pick up Traktor Duo but I just missed that sale they had. 179 bucks. Kicking myself right now. I found a sick deal on SL3 and I am going cry if I can't get the money in time because you can not find deals on Serato. This is basically like an off the back of a truck deal.

I also had to learn the hard way to stay away from M-audio products. I want to say you get what you pay for, but that shit is not cheap.
Never again I say.

I have an Axiom. It's not bad. I researched their audio interfaces when I was looking for one and the price was right but the reviews read like a nightmare. There really isn't much worth buying from them yeah.

Yeah it looks like you cant get the duo at all now. Must be repackaging for 2.0. Even at regular price it's not a bad deal but yeah WTF.

yea i have Torq 1.5. I love it. In Torq 2.0 they have added a standalone feature which previous versions of Torq did not have and really took the piss out of me. but looks as if they have added a lot of stuff in this beta version. I'm definitely upgrading soon.

I have the connectiv and use it with image lines Deckadance, and it works PERFECTLY.

ive had it maybe two years now, never ever crashed, frozen, glitched, quit expectedly, NOTHING.

its been brilliant, from my point of view i can see no way serato can be better than my setup - on par, maybe, but butter - theres nothing else left to do to make somthing better!
