Oh God, this. "Latest dubstep song" "that's my favourite dubstep song" sounds so awkward and stupid.mistalime wrote:And its a "tune" not a "song".........

Who does this? If you listen to Electro and listen to Electro House, there should be no confusion.Majin wrote:It's like when ppl call 'Electro House' 'Electro'. Technically incorrect but who gives a crap?
Yeah, tune always denotes a single melody for me rather than a complete piece of music. Having said that, there needed to be a word to refer to vocal-less electronic music (instramental implies live instruments), and tune does nicely. It's just a broadening of the meaning instead of calling something by the wrong name.kultron wrote:Am I the only person who finds the term 'tune' a tad irritating? When I hear the word tune, I think of the melody line of a piece of music or song, like the tune of 'mary had a little lamb'. Though i guess the phrase 'oi blud chek dis piece' won't catch on very quick in Britain...

Gone are the days of simply putting a donk on it, put a fucking dub on it.brasco wrote:ignorance is massive, but i am with you in that i will always still correct people.
