For those that bother with the musical tastes of others too much, calm down, get on the decks and play some stuff that you do like.

Haha I'm new to this forum and I've crossed that term at least 20 something times already.
All of the people that use this term are obviously not very conscious of where the music they listen to comes from.

I just find it amusing that people have started to actually consider it to be a real genre, it's clearly just a derogatory joke name to be applied to any badly produced "filth"
still though, brostepforum was lolz

Unfortunately, the term "filth" is misused itself hahaparticle-jim wrote:I just find it amusing that people have started to actually consider it to be a real genre, it's clearly just a derogatory joke name to be applied to any badly produced "filth"

What do you mean misused ? Filth was firstly used in youtube comments to describe more violent tracks wasn't it ? And the audience just followed the "evolution" of the sound. In which ways do you think it's misused ?

Everyone seems to have their own definition and distinction overall. look at youtube videos with the keyword 'filthy' or even in the dubs forums on here. What do you mean misused ?
Which brings me to my last topic post for a while: http://dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=184793

Evolution should be for the good. hiding behind the "evolution" argument, but then again after that all you got is "Haters gona hate".
Enjoy it while it lasts, only so much you can do with vomiting robots and ear piercing synths

what part of going from thought provoking sonic exploration into mediocre club fodder is evolution?
