Best producer/track name?

Post by jaydot » Wed Feb 16, 2011 5:48 am

Who has the best producer/track name in dubstep/beyond?

Funtcase is pretty good if you know what it's about. Tokimonsta is alright. Redlight is quite good. Gaslamp Kiler is great too. Ben UFO? Sukh Knight?

As for track name: Cockney Thug? Diesel Not Petrol? Half-Drunk? I'll think of some more later when it's not so early.

FuntCase is a good one. Always loved Stenchman. The story behind Deadmau5 is good (although not dubstep, I know). To be honest, Rusko has always stuck in my head for some reason. Ramadanman is a cool name aha.

As for tracks, then it has to be anything by Stenchman for sure right? Here are his work's: Coin Grab Fucktard, Gutfucker, Vagitarian Meal, You Fat Bloated Idiot, Big Trouble In Little Vagina, Who Moved My Cheese, etc etc etc. Surely he wins best track names hands down?

O.o who the fuck wouldn't get that!

As for my favourite name I'd say coki, I always wanted to be called loki but there's a ton of heavy metal bands called that and then coki sorta snatched up the 'oki' ending for producers. 'Laeki' was kinda my substitute for loki :\

Going further afield Congo Natty is a pretty good name. Jehst. Noisia. Rusko too I guess...

Can't really comment on song names cos so many of them are really good.

Oh if we we're going further afield then the list is endless. Cannibal Ox is just genius I think, and sticking with Hip Hop, MF DOOM's aliases are sick - King Geedorah etc. I always wanted to be called Supervillain or something along those lines, but DOOM would come and kill me.
Modeselektor is a cool name too.

To be honest, props to the Secret Lemon Project, I love the whole idea surrounding that.

And if we're gonna stray out of electronic music altogether briefly, The Smiths is the best. Just completely encapsulates everything that they were about. Genius.

Otto Von Schirach has a fucking cool nam, and it is actually his name. Also, his track names are brilliant: Gelatin Fixation, Nightmare Nipple F, Subatomic Disco Diva, Spine Serpents On Sperm Island, Fractal Nut Vinegarette, DJ Hepatitis Tofuburger.
