gosh i'll never forget walking up to that little shack on monday morning after missing our transfer bus, pissing rain on my head and pupils still big as saucers. i couldn't figure out whether i was nauseous or starving. i soon discovered it was the latter.

I felt sorry for the newly wed couple that held their wedding reception in the restaurant on the campsite!dubloke wrote:I felt sorry for some of the families who were staying there last year! they must have been told they could have a discount because there was a music festival on, but I dont think they fully appreciated the scale of messheads that would be stumbling around all weekend

Well, I didn't at the time. At the time I was thinking "F~~k them I want a meal!"

Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
Whats the cheapest route of travel minus the sunshine bus? Would anyone advise flight so Slovenia b2b train to Pula, or just a direct flight there?
Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
Fly to Venice then bus it.
Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
Anyone gone by train?
The InterRail global pass sounds tempting... £149 for 5 days of travel within 10 days, so would have a few days to go where ever on the way home.

Haha yes, I was right there. Pure jokes that. I think we were thinking of filming it, but then thought we might get beaten up.cityzen wrote:I felt sorry for the newly wed couple that held their wedding reception in the restaurant on the campsite!dubloke wrote:I felt sorry for some of the families who were staying there last year! they must have been told they could have a discount because there was a music festival on, but I dont think they fully appreciated the scale of messheads that would be stumbling around all weekend![]()

Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
I was fine as I stayed in an apartment.
Was wondering what was going on though when I got back to the fort after the Deep Medi boat party and everyone had their faces covered and the first aid tent had a sign saying "No more face masks".

Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
I think theres about 11 of us going by train from holland all the way to croatia,
anyone else doing this?
has anyone done this before?
its my first time so any advice would be good.
ive read that everyone gets stopped at the border and searched.
whats the deal with people getting searched at the border? is it sniffer dogs and bag searches?
cheers

Re: Outlook 2011 Ninja Roll Call
We went with a van out of belgium, went through Germany, Austria and Slovenia to finally enter Croatia and get searched for the first time, we were held up at the second border (the first one is the one to leave austria, then there's another one..). Even though we had nothing along with us we became very nervous lol, i dont know its just a thing of getting searched and so i guess.2WITCH wrote:I think theres about 11 of us going by train from holland all the way to croatia,

So we arrived at that border and they eventually led us to the side were we had to park the car. (3 guys in a van coming out of belgium, we had to have drugs along with us.. but we didnt)
At first they had the driver interrogated separetely, asked him what are meaning of our trip was too croatia blablabla, he saw that we were from belgium, so he was like, ur belgium so u have to have drugs along with you, why would u go on a holiday without.. He told him it was fine, just hand over the drugs now, you'll have to pay a fine of 50 euros and we'll let you go. If u dont tell us and we still find some, you'll have to pay a lot more and you'll wind up in jail. We will search everything, even take your clothes off and check it. The driver remained very calm and kept to his word that he wasnt carrying anything along. Eventually he told the driver to hold his hands in front of him, to see if he was shaking. He then let him step outside. Then it was time for my other friend to be interrogated.. to make a long story short, same talk, he came outside and everything seemed good. But then the cop came to me outside and asked are u carying something, u have drugs on you tell it now.. I kept myself cool and sayed i knew what the consequences could be when we were having something along.
At that moment the guy said, it's okay, you can go. Have a nice trip. If we would have had something along i'm sure we would have cracked. Even though we didnt, it was still scary.
In the end i would say, dont take anything along, except if u can hide it very well, like ket in mouthwater lol. U can find plenty on the festival i would say, even weed. Its not gonna be our quality but still.. And watch were u take your drugs and how much you take, cause there could be standing an undercover behind your back all of a sudden.
Our group of friends only smoked an we were carefull and didnt get caught last year.. So its do-able, just blend into the crowd!
And i can def say, even without drugs, outlook festival is going to be the time of your life! Cant wait to go back
