eldoogle: Sounds are abit thin, could do with some layering on the synths. Wasnt keen on the midi notes till it drops, perfer after drop ones more. Maybe give the listener a break in the intro every now and then from the synth. Nice big kick, snare seemed abit lacking (altho you could of been aiming for that) . like it at 2:17 when that synth goes away makes me realise i really really dont like it. 2:17 - 2:36 has a cool vibe to it. like that hi synth at 3:13 . Didnt like it (but did like gone krazi your other track tho)

Altfire: your kick was so big it set off my neighbors dog lol ;) the sound to me is abit cliche massive transformers type sound with reverbyness. sorry (ive only gotten into dubstep latly but this seems a common massive sound) ( sorry) i liked your percussion tho, kicks nice and solid.

Nrhc : Haha, diggin that intro sample, intro elements are good and work together, good percussion and like how you ran with the sample, reminds me of hiphop skinnyman type tracks, choir female vocals cool, the synth was cool to me but felt like it was lacking something, or that it wasnt glueing with the sub well enouth. where to take it after 1:00 ? maybe a switch up, beats getting faster, or try out a diffrent midrange synth, or diffrent settings (modulation) on the mid range synth like really slow rate or something.

Kushmanne: Love hate, The intro bits were cool, with the riser and club claps, then when theres that vocal "sittin on the trees" that synth makes it all seem like a mess, liked the horn , and sample. Drop was cool and really dig this vibe. could get my skank on to it. aw then it stops. in all the it seems like 3 diffrent songs, first intro was kinda cool in a disjointed kinda way, the middle bit was a mess imo, and after the real drop that was cool , id drop it

Here is stay also just come back from mixing it down. Im thinking its abit disjointed and doesnt flow very stop starty in a bad way. The basses were split and compressed diffrently for the dubstep and trance bits . i think it could do with some running hi hats to link it all together.

Aaha best feedback ever! If all else goes wrong at least I can commission carnival tunes. Yeah this is an early version which I hadn't put the sub-bass in, needed to EQ a lot of the other synths first as they were hogging up all the space. Got the sub bass on now sounds beefy :) made a quite a few other changes aswell will post a final one here soon thanks for your feedback mate

Nibzdub: Cool eerieness in the intro. That hitting sound is well weird, but it builds it nicely. Production is cool after the drop, I think the drop could be more impressive though. MAybe those sounds leading into it are too in your face? Love the break at 1:50. All in all a very well done track, and like i said, production is niiiice.

Fbac: Yes mate! This is very original. I think maybe your bass sits a tad too high in the mix - for me, the percussion starts to struggle just a tad. Your chops and changes are very nicely done I must say. Only other thing I'd add would be to make the intro more worthy of the rest of the tune. 1:50 is very nice! It's like a 140bpm house tune. Love it from there onwards.

MexicanKangaroo: I'm glad that there are people who know how to use a sub. These stinky basses please me also. Very Caspa-ish/The Others. I think your hits are a tad loud, you know the reverby ones in the right monitor? Other than that I fucking LOVE this tune. Really can't wait for a finished version. Just build a nice intro man! What software are you on and how did you make that bass?? :)

here's my latest offering. I'm going a bit more minimal now, whereas I've always been a 'more layers is better' person. So bare with it:

bump, people always download but never leave feedback here or anywhere. Trying to make some HULK type sounds, bongo samples and massive wobbles. tell me what you think, is this patch hurt your ears?

Debaser:
The crispness of your sounds are crazy nice. Haven't heard a song from you yet that wasn't amazing both on production and musical value. Sick stuff.
MRP5:
Lol, yes my ears are bleeding. Liked the intro tho, alltho the hats were abit loud. Good job on the sounds.
nibzdub:
That buildup is really cool, but more massive than the drop. Other than that I thought the tune was great. Nice break also. :)

Tune I'm playing around with:

@MRP5: Liking the intro percussion and how that synth increases in volume, the drop just comes somthing that signalled the drop was coming would be cool imo, The frequencies wernt too high for me just right but maybe have an experiment with a filter for those hi freqs. There was a gargling type synth layer in there that i didnt like but do think something like that should be there gives a nice more centrally solid contrast to the hi screeching synth layers (if that made sense) (also only just listend to some hulk stuff, mainly remixs hes done but your sounds are good and compareable keep it up) .

@Altfire: nice kick, interesting synth, almost reversed. sounds like its behind the percussion (might be what you were going for tho). Interesting vocal samples. liked the switch up! , a nice break down would be cool.

@Debaser; minimal elements is good yo, as you can work on processing them into bigfat beefy elements cuz theres more space in the freq spectrum. wasnt too keen on the intro snare bit kacky, the intro background swirrling pad things are cool but are abit too far in the background in my opinion (all tho its common in alot of dubstep stuff ive heard) , liking the vibe after the drop could skank to this, but as you say need to process and beef it all up ^^ good use of diffrent varying synths tho . also felt the intro didnt have the same bouncy vibe as after the drop. -- @ safe for your feedback, yea the bass is quite up there might experiment with some eq dipping at the kick snare fundementals.

@nibzdub : sci fi hauntedness- - like how those drums are coming in, may be a bit harsch for my taste, the hi- filter rise was cool but i think it could be more dramatic like sucking everything away, it also stops a bit to early before the drop (just my opinion) , like the second drop one tho, how it keeps going after the drop that was cool . the individual synth sounds sound a bit thin compared to your drums (like the volume is low now so if i want to make the synths stand out i need to increase my volume but if i do that then the drums are too loud) . would like to see more switch ups but all in all its very compently put together.

@Frausch: Liked these intro drums, ... NOOOOOOOOOO!!! not autotuned chipmunks haha.. OH dear 0o nice use of that massive sound, processed nicer then ive heard before. and like the hiphop strings behind it(your forgiven). :) pleasent surprise after the drop from first impressions on those chipmunk vocals.. When the vocals game back, it felt abit like it didnt all glue together rather put together if that makes sense(only when the vocals are in play when there not its fine), liking the midbass notes and the held down edit at the end of the loop.

-Theres two tracks of mine here Stay at the top and E303 the page previous (does this sub work on e303?) the page over, apologies for missin any tracks

thanks for all the feed back everyone, its always difficult to find your own flaws.

@Debaser1 - that minimal feel is dope, definitely bring that bass back in the next parts

@MRP5 - like the low pass in the beginning, maybe filter out some high frequencies after the drop but besides that its sounding pretty solid

@ FRasch - i wouldnt be surprised to hear this remix go big soon, i really like its vibe. definitely needs to be cleaned up a bit all throughout, other than that sick track

Hey guys, returning some feedback (and then finishing the page off).
Thanks to everyone who commented. And Thanks for defining drumstep for me too.
My track was at 155 for anyone curious. So definately closer to Dubstep it seems :)

@ MRP5 - Love the perc and drums. The track has a nice build at the start but i do think the drop needs more definition. I like the bass sounds. Thought they might be a little loud though. Also diggin that backround pad thing that floats in and out. Not alot there to comment on yet but so far so good.

@ MexicanKangaroo - Good layout for a track. I Really like all the individual elements and sounds you've used. I think there's some work to be done eqing and leveling still. The brass hits were too loud and the track lacks a bit of bass at the moment. I really like the bass instrument sound. That'd be nice if it was louder too.

@ Fbac - in answer to your question on p19, yeah i have sub in the mix. I've tried to keep a full sounding kick through the whole track as well as the sub, without any clashes. Still mastering this art though of course. And cheers, i'll play with the hats a bit and see how it goes. E303 - So cool track dude! It was sounding a bit muddy to me though at the moment. I'm not sure what kinda mix your going for (so forgive any useless feedback) but here's some oppinions i could think up. I would try and make the snare a bit snappier. And try and mesh it together with your hats so the snare really interupts the highs in them each each hit. I think the sub and kick need a bit more work too. To me the kick and low frequencies of the sub are clashing at times when they both hit similtaneously. And the sub needs to be tightened up a bit too, when the note drops low it comes apart a bit. And at times the synth tops lift way over the mix. I think you have written a really nice track with good flow and build. My only feedback was mix related. Nice one :) @ Fbac (Stay) - This track sounds mixed better. I agree with you on the disjointed feel. Maybe some hats and another rythimic lead will help carry the dubstep bit? I don't like the vocal sample, sounds a bit off. Might just be a personal taste thing though. I think the second half of the track fit together and sounded good. Now stop hogging up all my feedback :P

@ Nibzdub - epic build at the start, when the track drops though it seems quieter in relation. Good beats and good flow. I'd add some low mid bass to that bass instrument (the attack and stab one) or add another instrument behind it to fill out that frequency range a bit.

@ Debaser1 - I Hadda turn this track up, got some nice style here man. AH ONLY 1 AND A HALF MINS! Dissapointing coz this is sounding cool. Really like the space you have in there, so if this is new to you well done. only suggestion at this stage is bring up the wobble bass lvl a little bit. Keen to hear thos one out when it's done.

@ Frasch - The drop was really cool. I'm not a fan of the original at all. So hearing it smashed up is nice. I really like a good remix of a cheesy or oldskool tune. mean bass sounds. Nice snare. Fat kick. Well done.

Thanks for giving me some cool tracks to hear guys. Peace!

Haha, autotuned chipmunks must not be underestimated.
I reposted the tune without chipmunks and hopefully some better sounding wobbles :)
Thanks for the feedback :)

Olux: You've got great production quality, love the intro and nice sample sounds after the build. Somewhere around 1:30 to 1:40 I lose interest. It's a great sound it just needs to go somewhere for me. Overall, it's got a good vibe, the intro is the best part by far, not meaning the rest is bad I just really like the feel of that intro. Keep working with it and see where it takes you cuz the song's got a really good sound. Mix in some different beats and rhythms or something it's just a little repetitive.

FRasch: I like the way you brought in the base, the intro felt a little dull until that. I'm loving that groove man and the break down from like 1:40 to 2 ish is really nice. Again, I think it's kind of repetitive. From about 2:30 to 3 is really nice, I like the switch up it sons good and on beat some more of that in the first part with another piece thrown in somewhere. It's got a really nice sound man, keep working with it and it'll be a hit.

Debaser: It's minimal but I like the beat and the eery intro with that high synth coming in is nice. The drums are a little boring. I like what you got going with the wobble and mixing in the high synth with it but it seems to clash a little. Try fading the volume from one to the other so they don't interfere with each other. It sounds like you have a good start of a song but it needs some more twist and turns.

Ok this is my first song ever. I've played piano all my life and just picked up playing the hand drum. I got a midi controller about a month ago and this is my first full track. I would love to get some constructive criticism, thanks.
for some reason if I click the soundcloud code it puts a completely different song on here so this is the link, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

@FRasch - I think your playing around very well, nice work

@Debaser1 - I agree with Fbac - want some more of that

@Mexicankangaroo - Stubbles for a second about half way through, but love the feel and really enjoyed the horns

This is a track I've been working on for a couple days now, bending and shaking and what not. Changed the name to "Eats It's Young" because the old one doesn't fit anymore (have added some samples that moved it along a little more serious road). All feedback is appriecated.
