lordbid - suspenseful intro and i love the break for a split second just prior to the drop. it could definitely use a bit more sub though. other than that, i really like it. its definitely something id listen to.

nibzdub - okay, dont take this the wrong way as im naturally like this but the the intro is way too fucking slow. i like it, the build up is great and the sound is good, its just too long/it drags on a bit. the drop is good and the filtered bridge is amazing. second drop is even better. @2:40ish, the drive is incredible. it could use more/another snare hit here and there. and the outro is perfect. i really like what you have going on here and its exponentially better than the original edit. keep it up

jakedubber - the beginning, the samples are funny but so car, the snare sounds a bit dead. add some reverb maybe.. just bit as its a bit too short. thats just my opinion. the telephone sounding lead is on point. from the rhythm, the melody down to the sound and the dynamics. id also try to vary up the hats. the section at 2:00 you can tell its the same hat... it kind of sounds way to digital and linear. definitely vary it up, expand it a bit and itll sound much more analog

kidstrange - intro is way too slow and seems more like a time waster than an actual intro/build up into the great drop. its so classic i love it. i love the break from the filthy mid ranged madness that i produce and listen to. the atmosphere and overall feeling is immense here. at 1:36, it seems like you just copied and pasted your intro there. add some drums or faint riffs from the basses to vary and add a bit more life to it. you have a good tune here man, i dig it.

heres my new tune. just started it yesterday and i guess i have most of the basic skeleton down and im just trying to get most of the levels right.

I really liked the ominous nature of the track ... very brooding. It make me think of the suspenseful moment before the killer does his thing ... like that continuous note they use in horror movies to build tension. The movie quote was cool, but it was pretty hard to hear, IMO. I'd like to hear you use it a bit after you drop it too, like cutting up the "knives are pro" right at the end of your musical phrase. I'd also like to hear something really dramatic happen after the breakdown. I just kept waiting for the killer to show. But he kept hiding in the shadows. I also would like to hear some more atmospherics, haunting pads or something. But thats me, since I have a tendency to pack a metric ton of shit into a song. I also was immidiatly reminded of the scene from Leon the Professional ...
The rifle is the first weapon you learn how to use, because it lets you keep your distance from the client. The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife, for example, is the last thing you learn.
that being said, I'd like to beg for some input as well. I've never done a track with my own vocals on it. I'm apprehensive about it, since I rarely do it. Advice in that regard will be well received. Thanks guys.

@sammy: Definitely finish this, those vox are so fucking cool. Theres some awkward timings, but thats just cause its a wip. What you've got right now is gold man, finish it!

@Faith: Tight track, reminds me of ratm. And whatever you were doing at 3:30 was dope. The vocals sound kinda cheesy at times.. Part of that is because of the repitition, especially the live in a theocracy part. Instead of looping that line, I'd just play it once, then start chopping the vocals up and stuttering them and shiiiii.

@filthy: You really got that filthy bass sound down (get it!?!??!?? ). There wasn't one sound I didn't like, and it held my interest even as a skeleton track. Just keep building it up, cause so far everything sounds sick! :D:

So I was reworking my Sample pack comp song (mostly the mixing), and this is what I got:

Thanks for the feedback guys and agree on alot. as far as the "bitcrushed" i kind of enjoy it. Besides.. yes they are quiet over used but you dont really expect it coming at all. Im also surprised noone has said anything about the samples. as far as the intro being a long drawn out piece to waste time is odd to hear iv heard alot of really well written songs have 16 bar intros. agree it does need some work..
for those who havent heard

ill keep giving feedback for a few days, dont have all the time right now will get on that later!

FluidMoShun - evolution FM (this track flows well mate! it has a nice mellow bounce to it. the strings are awsome, and im loving the grimey wobble at the 3rd drop. The only thing is that it is a bit 'un-themed', if you have the strings at the start, you should carry them on untill the end -just hearing snippets of them in a breaks. I can't tell if you have a sub running underneath (coz i'm working on shity speakers atm) but if you don't, add one, it will sound sickkkkkkk!!)

Rufa - impish (wip) - again this is a nice mellow and flowing track, the drums are awsome and i like the pads. There is a clicking coming through in the drums (i think its just the sound of a hat), but thats a matter of personal opinion. Is the kick drum compressed? because the second hit is subtly lower in volume. But over all its a good tune (spend more time on the main lead, make it more ear teasing :L

FaithInTheGlitch - church vs state - this is a sourta hip hop track (i wouldn't classify it as drumstep) but the beats sound good and fresh (maybe change the hi hat pattern a bit) the vocals sound like somthing from weird al yankovic spoof songs, maybe look for somthing a bit more grimey. but overall its a good production and the layout is textbook ;)

DONE MY 3! please give me feedback on my track in my sig.. thank you! :m:

@Debaser - Big up the Grandstand sample haha, the bass was heavy without being too "brosteppy", definitely need to make it longer :)
@ideate - The drop on this is killer, I'd love a 320 when youre finished with it, imo the intro sounded a little bit busy, but yknow, thats just me! I won't bother saying anything about variation cuz you know about that :)

Here's my new bit, I was just playing around with reversing some sounds and ended up making this, it's not my usual thing but I thought it sounded alright! But I could be terrible wrong ;) so here's my second attempt at a tune, any feedback's welcome :)

debaser1 - nice work totally feeling dem drums and organ, basses fucking neat too, although something about them felt bit offbeat at times but on purpose i suppose, nice overall rolling feel to it.shame its so short :)

steeple - TUNAGE. dont listen to those who say "beef up ur bass" its fukn spot on. drums everything. jeeeeeez that high pitched falling thingy..! TUNE!!
tunes like these are not "CHILL" nor "DEEP" their wicked
def would like a 320 when its finished
:)

fluidsmonshun - first half of the tune is killer! other half not so much :x

sammyscribles - sounds like something incredibly chill ud hear on sona fm cliqhop.. always listen to this kind of vibe when playin minecraft. good tune man :)

hey tnx man, this is actually a finished track, but i'll ve sure to take these into question next time!

@steeple: nice sub on this one! intro feels like it might need something more (pad/fx/riff), but that's just me. besides that i dig it. i like the different sounds you got going on in your drums, as well as those falling-sounding effects around 1:25 or so. nice work!

@captain planet: glitchy shit going on here! definitely a different style, keeps my head bobbing throughout the whole track. the bass with the really fast lfo around 1:44 seems a little unresolved/out of place/too fast (at least for my liking). i feel like it changes the track entirely, but that might be what you're going for.

@kikaruu: snare/clap sounds a little aggressive, almost like there's some clipping going on. might need some eq'ing or it could just be my headphones. besides that i like it dude, i love those breakbeat sounding drums, you definitely keep this one interesting.

@filthy: like all the funky stuff going on in your intro. drums have a nice shuffle to them, and i dig the pauses throughout them. only suggestion would be to do something different with that bass that comes in around :53. i was liking just the sub that was going on, but i think when that bass comes in it seems a little off. i know it's still really rough so i'm sure you can do something with it.

here's my newest wip. more of an electro house-ish track, i'm trying to experiment a little bit more. snare still needs some work, not sure why it's sounding so fuzzy on the high end (at least to me), i've eq'd the shit out of it. sub needs more tweaking too, it sounds pretty weak on certain notes. any crits/tips are greatly appreciated!

@filthy_: Knives for a Pro seems like it will def a pretty sweet track when it's done. Love the mood of it, can hear some nice crunchy wobbles coming in at 1.27. Keep at it, def would like to hear the final product and possibly get a 320 if you give them away!

@sammyscribbles: Even though there is not much there I really like this and look forward to the final product. Loving those few piano notes (if that is what they are). The vocal sample I'm liking also but maybe don't use it as much, maybe cut out a few of them.

@FluidMoShun: Well that was a fun listen lol (seriously) Definitely a good way to show off a sample pack for sure!

@willryan042: Definitely liking the housiness of this track! One thing I think would be pretty cool to try though is maybe have it speed up towards the end? Just an idea, I do like this though and if you give away a 320 of it I would love to have it :)

Alright now my track that I have posted a gazillion times but now has a name finally:
Soundcloud

Those who have already heard this you will notice obviously this is a longer cut and has some volume changes and added a simple reverse cymbal for a few transitions. Before you give me feedback please note that I already plan on having some change ups in the bass line and the percussion. Also note that this is not a dubstep track, it is simple bass music, so please don't critique it with the mindset that it is supposed to be dubstep. Thanks :)

Also this is a little guitar idea I played real quick while at the local music store I go to
(Thank you soundcloud for having the direct recording option and thank you for my droid having a pretty good mic):

Not sure what I will use it for but there it is lol

@NICORISONE: I like what you have there so far. Especially the synth and breathing like atmosphere sound at the start. I think it would be nice to add a striped down part of just the percussion and bass, then bring all the epic stuff back in at once. Cheers for the suggestion on mine. Taken the vocal out a bit here and there and it has made it seem much more effective when it is in ( I think), plus given me some new ideas so thanks.

@ NICORISONE: love the intro, it's awesome. maybe control the frequency of the sub bass more. or maybe it's just my shitty speakers.. nice work though very chilled!
@ willryan042, loveing the house vibes, maybe it's juts me but the bass drum over the snare is way overpowering. eq that snare and sample your bass some more so it's more prominent! good work though also shuffle up those hi hats some more give it more flow!
@ Sub South, good vibes and layout, is it me or does the whole thing sound like it's got a frequency filter or some shit on it? doesn't sound full or bassy to me. kinda trebly. anyway good work!
@ kidstrange, nice vibe.. think the vocals have to my reverb on for my liking. but that's personla opinion i guess! work on the drums some more too! good work none the less! keep it up. also switch up that second drop abit too
@ FluidMoShun, like the mix down sounds good man!
@ FaithInTheGlitch, nice work man, i'm with fluid on this, vocals get kinda cheesy after a while. switch em up and you'll have a cool track!
@ filthy_ nice structure so far my man! liking it. the bass synth sounds filtered to me? don't have it as filtered if it is. if not smaple it to shit and bring some beef into it! keep going wanna hear it finished!
Right, i have 'finished' my track. need some advice for how it sounds levels etc.. Shortened the inro alot because it did bore me after while listening to it on repeat getting the levels right lol
anyway, all feedback welcome, hope you enjoy!

Alrighty, back again for a wall of text!

@ Nibzdub
Nice intro, seems like something heavy is on its way!
Drop was heavy, main synth is abit too distorted (personal taste here)
Other then that: monster tune!

@ NICORISONE
Love that reversed synth (?)
Bassline has some weird notes in it tho, dunno if it's just me.
Love the hats and that vocal kicking in is amazing!
Nice laidback tune! loving your work!

@ Willryan042
Not too fond of that one tho, but I see that you're experimenting.
Vocal seems abit, off?
The drop got my head moving tho, nice vibe in it!

@ Captain Planet
Wow, that's some really awkward tune there.
Amazing how you're playing around with all the reversed cymbals!
Not too fond of the bassline that kicks in tho, makes the track way too full imho.
That second bassline is way too hard tho.

@ Kidstrange
I was sceptical at first but the drop made me smile.
Vocal fits well, quality!

@ Fluidmoshun
That piano that cuts is great.
Loving your drums there, track makes me move :D

Bare in mind that all the comments I made are personal flavor.

Got in a quit emotional rush over a girl and as I've read (and discovered), every emotion makes a great track.

Would really love some criticism because I've put my heart and soul in it (literally).

@cubicle - really interesting, good atmosphere! i like it. its a bit minimalistic though (imo), i mean i would like to here more happening between 3:00 and 4:20.

@nibzdub - nice and dirty, although I would add a more mellow part right at 2:50 there and then built it up and BAM! good job

@willryan042 - I actually like the snare, but if you think its too fuzzy why won't you change the sample? the part before 1:20, drums feel very very weak, and afterwards its ok. 2:22 - nice break, i love it. nice samples, but i think there are a bit too many of them... dubstep break is great!

Here's another new one, a dubstep remix to a previous track i'm made (which was psytrance): its pretty finished acually, but there was no finished tracks thread.. haha
