The Third - Most Contrived/wip (filthy brostep?)

I have the track finished, but was comparing diff. levels of distortion.
Soundcloud
The 1st half is with medium distortion, and the 2nd half is with heavy distortion.
Which is better?
I will return all feedback!

Trying to figure out which level of distortion sounds best, i need opinions.
I've edited the first post to a quick clip comparing the two levels...help me!

first part sounds better, the second part sounds more like a light phaser or something rather than distortion
