Please recommend me a new program to mix with..

Post by Psychodelic » Sun Feb 27, 2011 12:01 pm

I've been using MixMeister for a while now, I don't use any of the automatic functions, ever.. I just love the interface, the soundwaves stacked on top of each other, and being able to cut/edit/re-arrange and manipulate them as I please.. I was working on a 4 way mashup of the different versions of Chrispy - Predator, and learned the hard way that MixMeister has a LOT of quirks, when it comes to trying to NOT use any of it's automatic functions..

Basically, I'm looking for the program built for the OCD laptop DJ. I haven't been able to find much, but MixPad also resembles the sort of thing I'm looking for, though I haven't tried it yet, it looks a bit outdated.. from what I can tell. I've spent all of last night and my whole afternoon dealing with MixMeister's bullshit on a project I already had finished, and finally quit and decided to look for a new program. So yeah, someone please give me some suggestions on a program that might work for me, so I don't have to worry about having to work with MixMeister anymore, and so I can FINALLY finish my mashup without 20 minutes of blank space or any other problems.. Thanks in advance :W:

Traktor scratch, Serato, or VDJ are going to be the industry standard, and what youll usually run into when using other peoples rigs to mix.
